Fabrica718 Transforms Industrial Space into Cool Williamsburg Loft Perfect for Work and Play

Most New Yorkers are well aware that a short ride over the Williamsburg Bridge will put you in one of the hippest neighborhoods in the city. This cool pad, located on Jackson Street in Williamsburg, was previously outfitted for a manufacturing business, but was recently converted into a design office and residential loft. The design team responsible for the upgrade is Fabrica718, and their goal was to optimize the common spaces to account for all of their client’s needs. The stylish new interior is the perfect combination of the hip and rustic styles that typify the surrounding neighborhood’s attitude.

Raw brick walls surround the interior space creating a warm and inviting atmosphere, while an eclectic combination of antiques add to the visual story of this unique home.

The home’s bedrooms are small but filled with light provided by custom sliding doors and transoms of extruded plastic. A large translucent sliding door separates the design office from the home. The office space is a functional mix of modular desks and shelving, and the walls are painted in a calming dark gray tone.

The loft’s tranquil outdoor space features a special pendant light that when turned on reflects a series of interesting shapes and patterns onto the whitewashed brick walls. There’s also a brightly-colored hammock and cool bench perfect for anybody looking to take a load off.
