Spend Summer in a Classy Clinton Hill Brownstone for $10K (Chickens Not Included)
Broker Nadine Adamson has put her own four-bedroom triplex, located in a Clinton Hill brownstone at 42 Downing Street, on the rental market for the remainder of the summer, asking $10,000 a month. The prewar home has a country vibe with original details and a private garden. However, Adamson is quick to point out that the chickens roaming the yard do not come with the home. Apparently they were just renting for the month of June.
Inside, the parlor floor features 12-foot ceilings, a modern chef’s kitchen with an island, a spacious dining room that can accommodate eight people, and a loft-like living room. Oversized windows let in lots of light and provide a view of the backyard.
The description of the master bedroom is sure to pique your interest. There’s apparently a freestanding clawfoot tub, a walk-in closet with a tub, and an en suite marble bathroom with a skylight. We’re hoping it makes more sense if you’re actually there. A walk-in closet takes you to a second living room and library.
The fourth level has exposed beams and three additional bedrooms. There’s also a playroom and a bold bathroom clad in blue and white Moroccan tiles, sporting another skylight. You’ll also have the option of going up on the roof for a tan or hanging out in the shady backyard with a treehouse. In an exclusive unpublished interview the chickens told us they love the home and are secretly jealous of whoever gets to stay there.
This beautiful Clinton Hill home is just ten minutes to Williamsburg and 20 minutes to Manhattan. It’s also surrounded by all the offerings of Fort Greene, Prospect Heights, Crown Heights, and Bed Stuy.
