$26K/Month Soho Penthouse Gets Great Light and Has a Huge Outdoor Space
Everywhere you look in this massive Soho penthouse, located at 27 Howard Street, you’ve got big windows and streaming light. This bright space has a lot of other perks, too–it’s a duplex with a backyard, there are 12-foot ceilings, and the master bedroom is a whopping 900 square feet and has its own movie projector setup. Of course, the Soho penthouse life isn’t cheap, as it’ll cost you $26,000 a month to live here. Prices like that come with celebrity perks, too; Jonah Hill was trying to sell his apartment in the building last year.
The elevator opens directly into the apartment’s “great room,” which spans 1,000 square feet. In it, there’s a wood-burning fireplace, wall-to-wall, wood-framed seven-foot windows, and a huge overhead skylight. The apartment is living proof that you can never go wrong with big windows everywhere.
An open kitchen is located off the great room. Would you expect anything less than fancy appliances and marble on the countertops and kitchen island?
There are two bedrooms on the lower level, and the listing says they both have big windows. Pictured above is the huge master bedroom on the second floor. (There’s also a a sitting area with a wood-burning fireplace and en-suite bathroom, not to mention a projector setup in the master bedroom.) There are two floor-to-ceiling glass walls on the upper floor, one at the landing and another in the bedroom. They look out onto the unit’s private outdoor space.
The two-story backyard is 1,000 square feet, with a terrace right outside of the master bedroom. The lower garden area has plantings, an automatic watering system and an outdoor audio setup. From there, you can take a spiral staircase up to the private rooftop garden, which has views looking down onto Soho. Great light inside and plenty of space to relax outside…what more could you want from a penthouse apartment?
