Sales launched this week at 520 Fifth Avenue, the tallest residential tower on Fifth Avenue. Developed by Rabina and designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox (KPF), the 88-story skyscraper soars 1,000 feet above Midtown and features boutique office floors on the lower levels, a luxury members-only hospitality club, and 100 condos starting on the 42nd floor. Residences range from one to four bedrooms, with prices starting at $1.7 million.

Drawing inspiration from the iconic Beaux-Arts buildings surrounding the property, KPF honored the neighborhood’s architectural history at 520 Fifth Avenue with a modern twist, featuring signature glazed terracotta arches framing 10-foot by 10-foot glass apertures and tiered terraces that line the facade as it reaches its pinnacle.

The tower has a slenderness ratio of 1:12, making it one of the skinniest buildings in the city, according to CityRealty.

“The building steps back following the zoning envelope, echoing Hugh Ferris’ architectural visions of 1920’s New York,” James von Klemperer, KPF President and Design Principal, said.

“The massing is further articulated by arched window modules inspired by neighborhood landmarks, including Grand Central Terminal, the New York Public Library and the adjacent Century Association. These arches convey a sense of warmth well suited to the welcoming character of spaces within the building.”

Boasting interiors by Charles & Co., the condos occupy the top 40 floors of the tower, ensuring all residences have sweeping views of the Manhattan skyline and surrounding cityscape.

Residences feature ceiling heights ranging from roughly 10 feet to more than 14 feet, and white oak wide-plank floors are found throughout.

Kitchens boast state-of-the-art appliances, ribbed walnut islands, white lacquer cabinetry, and quartzite slab countertops and backsplashes. Bathrooms include custom vanities, marble countertops, herringbone marble flooring, and polished nickel fixtures.

Five penthouse apartments offer expansive full-floor layouts, airy light-filled spaces, and spacious rooms perfect for entertaining guests.

On the 88th floor, an amenity suite features a striking glass-walled solarium, lounge, dining room, library, and game room. Residents will also have access to Moss, a members-only hospitality club delivering world-class dining, recreation, athletics, and wellness services.

“520 Fifth Avenue is the expression of our long-held belief that real luxury is about connection and community. Our world-class team has created beautiful and highly-serviced spaces throughout the building that create opportunities to rejuvenate and relax, but also to engage, to learn and to connect,” Josh Rabina, president of Rabina, said.

“We are deeply proud to deliver a project that we believe will feel like an authentic part of its iconic neighborhood and that will capture a bit of the spark, the glamour, the history and the soul that make New York the greatest city in the world.”

Located in the heart of Midtown at Fifth Avenue and 43rd Street, a block from Bryant Park and Grand Central Terminal, 520 Fifth Avenue offers easy access to the city’s most iconic attractions, from shopping on Fifth Avenue to the Theater District.

Construction is slated for completion in 2025.
