The warm weather is upon us, and it’s undoubtedly going to make staying indoors harder. But not if this East Hampton home is where you’re be sheltering in place. The incredible 7,000-square-foot residence has six bedrooms, seven-and-a-half bathrooms, and outdoor space that’ll make you drool. The pool is a whopping 20′ x 50′ and has a sun shelf and hot tub. There’s a covered dining area and an outdoor kitchen with a built-in gas grill and stainless steel refrigerator and drink drawers (did someone say pool-side cocktails?!).
The home, built last year, is situated off Route 27, down a 550-foot-long private driveway. Its shingled and rift-cut cedar facade lends a barn-style look while still feeling super contemporary.
Enter into a double-height open space with vaulted ceilings that looks straight back to the rear yard. A fireplace with custom cedar mantle anchors this room.
Adjacent is what the listing calls the “barn room” thanks to its vaulted beamed ceilings. The family room also opens to the backyard and has an oversized wood-burning fireplace.
Past the dining area is the open kitchen, which has a spectacular amount of cabinet and counter space. There are two islands, one of which has a six-burner stovetop and the other a second sink and four-seat breakfast bar. There’s a Calcutta marble backsplash, open walnut shelves, ice maker, wine fridge, and double dishwashers.
Also on the first floor is the junior master suite, which has a walk-in closet, en-suite bathroom, and access to an outdoor patio.
There’s another bedroom with an en-suite on this level, as well as a laundry room and a bathroom that opens out to the pool.
Upstairs are two more en-suite bedrooms, including the master suite. This master has gorgeous beamed ceilings, a third fireplace, walk-in closet, and bathroom with a double vanity and oversized shower. There’s also a private mahogany deck.
On the lower level, you’ll find an additional two en-suite bedrooms, a living/media room, and a home theater.
The outdoor space is truly magnificent. Covered and uncovered bluestone patios are surrounded by lovely plantings. The pool and outdoor kitchen feel like you’re at a resort.
The property is located right between East Hampton and Amagansett and is just one mile from the beach.
