This two- bedroom, two-bathroom pad (in which the bedrooms and a bathroom also boast skylights) occupies the entire top floor of one of the townhouses.
You enter right into the living room, with those 19-foot ceilings and two skylights that fill the room with natural light. That’s one modern addition we definitely approve of to this historic townhouse structure.
The adjacent dining area connects seamlessly to the kitchen, which has been renovated with custom wood cabinetry and nickel-plated hardware. Hidden behind the wood cabinets is a full-size washer and dryer. And yes, that’s another skylight right above the kitchen!
The bedrooms are located on the opposite side of the apartment. They each face south, looking down at the surrounding townhouse gardens. The master bedroom, which has high ceilings of its own, features a skylight, hardwood floors, exposed brick and a second wood-burning fireplace. There’s also a walk-in closet and ensuite bathroom.
The second bedroom has exposed brick, a customized closet and yes–another skylight. The second bathroom has a skylight as well, for a grand total of six throughout the apartment. We’re just going to say this apartment wins the prize for the best-lit apartment in New York.
