This Playful Family Loft Is Outfitted with a Rock Wall, Slide, and Zip Line!
Located on 29th Street in Nomad, this gorgeous 4,000-square-foot loft was given a design overhaul from Studio DB, customized for a family – complete with four little ones – who recently moved to NYC from Silicon Valley. In addition to a shared open living space, the home was made kid-friendly with fun features like a slide, zip line, and a shared loft space accessed through a unique passageway boasting a rock wall and monkey bars.
The design details feature clean modern lines and provide a sense of symmetry. The long white kitchen counter is punctuated on each side by dark walls, and the concrete island is adorned with smooth wood stools that run the length of the bar.
A small office and play room is located at the far end of the kitchen, and the windowed wall provides ample light throughout the space.
The master bedroom boasts a sophisticated elegance coupled with rich red tones and a bright airy quality, and the room extends to include a light-filled study tucked away behind a set of steel and glass doors.
The master bath features shiny black painted walls that reflect light from the room’s chandelier as if it was wall art.
The highlight of this epic loft is the kids’ bedrooms and their supporting architectural details. The rooms are accessed through a playful hallway adorned with colorful custom wallpaper, and the same hallway features a sweeping zip-line down the middle.
Each bedroom also connects to a shared loft space accessed through unique passageways featuring a colorful rock wall, monkey bars and concealed ladder.
