A Historic and Festive Three Bedroom in Cobble Hill Asks $6,000 a Month
The holidays are a notoriously hard time to sell and rent apartments, so we appreciate that this rental unit at 416 Henry Street in Cobble Hill is just going ahead and getting into the holiday spirit. A Christmas tree is on display in the lovely living room with its big windows and ceiling moldings. 416 Henry Street is a four-story brownstone building that holds three units, this being on of them. What appears to be a floor-through unit, holding three-and-a-half bedrooms and two bathrooms, is on the rental market for $6,000 a month. Looks like it last rented in 2013 for $4,300 a month.
Given that this is a historic Cobble Hill brownstone, there are some nice old details like decorative molding in the living room, the original wide plank floors and exposed brick. We’ve got to admit, those high ceilings and the chandelier make that Christmas tree look stunning!
The eat-in kitchen is directly connected to the living room. It’s been upgraded with stainless steel appliances, which include a dishwasher — a nice perk for a rental.
Both bathrooms were designed with subway tiles, modern sinks and bathtubs, according to the listing.
Each of the three bedrooms look well sized, with decent light coming from the windows. To help maximize space, all the bedrooms have their own built-in storage.
And here’s a bonus room! This is located right off the living room and the listing suggests it could be used as an office, guest room or playroom. It doesn’t look like there’s a window in here, so it couldn’t be a legal fourth bedroom.
This brownstone apartment is located on an uber-charming block of Cobble Hill, one that is dominated by other low-rise brownstone buildings. We bet that these homes look just as lovely and festive on the outside during this time of year.
