This Oh-So-Sweet Co-Op in Greenwich Village Is on the Market for $2 Million

There’s simply nothing to hate about this Greenwich Village co-op, located in the charming pre-war building 140 West 10th Street on a lovely leafy street. The apartment still has its historic details intact, some nicely done renovations, and big windows with views over the surrounding townhouses and backyards. The only thing we’re not crazy about? The steep asking price of $2.295 million.

A recent reno has updated the old features and added new elements. Prewar details include moldings, wall paneling, two of the original stone mantles and fireplaces, and gorgeous herringbone wood floors.

The kitchen’s new — it’s been renovated with new oak cabinetry, marble countertops and backsplash, a SubZero refrigerator, dishwasher and wine refrigerator. Another nice new addition? A washer and dryer located inside the kitchen.

There’s enough space off the kitchen for a dining room table, although not a huge one. This apartment is so cute we don’t even mind.

And here are both of the two bedrooms. The master has its own large walk-in closet and an en-suite bathroom with marble countertops and a walk-in, slate-tiled shower. (There’s a fireplace in there too, although not pictured.) And the second bedroom looks spacious enough. Both have views of the townhouse gardens outside.

So what’s the final word on this apartment? We think it’s just won “The Most Likable Co-op in Manhattan” award.
