$4M Loft in Greenwich Village Will Make You Think You’re in Paris
The charm of Greenwich Village is undeniable. You have tree-lined streets, shops and celebrities. Well this $3.995 million full-floor pad at 54 East 11th Street is not to be outdone. We’ll put it this way, If this loft were the setting of an episode of “Sex and the City” it would be called “An American Girl in Paris Without Actually Leaving New York.”
You can take the stairs up to this second floor loft or ride the elevator if you must. Waiting for you at the entrance is a gorgeous living room/dining room combination with exposed brick walls on both sides and exposed ducts. The north-facing wall of this great room is lined entirely with four floor-to-ceiling French doors, two of which lead to adorable Juliet balconies with wrought iron railings. A retro chef’s kitchen faces the living space, showing off lots of personality with punches of red. The kitchen has high-end appliances, granite countertops, and an island with seating for three.
The back of the apartment makes the most of its western and southern light with sliding glass barn doors, glass double doors and a glass cut-out above the master bedroom entryway. The master has three south-facing windows, whitewashed exposed brick walls, and a large custom dressing room. It’s windowed bath is literally the only spot where we could find an ounce of fault. It has a beautiful rain shower with an Ofuro Japanese soaking tub inside that looks beautiful, but frankly seems to just cramp the space. But we would totally be able to overlook that detail if we can have the pink flamingo. The guestroom is also spacious, with western light, and an en suite bath with a glass-enclosed shower. The den, or third bedroom, has a custom closet, and across the hall a media room or office has an Epson projector.
54 East 11th Street is a Greenwich Village co-op with 10 units. Residents enjoy video intercom security, key-locked elevators, and basement storage. It’s also just blocks from Union Square, which will make shopping at the farmer’s market or at Whole Foods a breeze.
