Interior Pictures Revealed for Demi Moore’s $75M San Remo Penthouse
We learned on Friday that Demi Moore’s triplex penthouse at the San Remo would be hitting the market for $75 million, and now the listing has finally gone live, reports Curbed. While last week’s exclusive story in the Times revealed many details about the 7,000-square-foot Central Park West residence which Moore bought in 1990 with ex-husband Bruce Willis, we only had black-and-white photos of the apartment from 1937. There aren’t a ton of new pictures, but they show how the couple updated the Emory Roth-designed home in a “Southwestern Mission motif dominated by cherry wood” and give us a look at the unparalleled views.

The double-height entertainment room
A private elevator opens to a vestibule that leads to the double-height foyer with a grand staircase to the second floor. The first floor has the main living spaces – living room, library, dining room, breakfast room and kitchen. The 24-by-17-foot dining room is anchored by a huge crystal chandelier surrounded by circular molding. The second floor contains five bedrooms and a staff room. On the third floor is a double-height entertainment room, another kitchen, a guest loft, full bathroom and study. The 16-foot-high entertainment room boasts three exposures, more than 20 feet of windows facing the park, and a wood-and-ceramic tile fireplace. It also has access to the 1,500-square-foot, wrap-around bluestone terrace. In addition to this impressive penthouse, included in the listing is apartment 1H, a two-bedroom maisonette with private entry through the main lobby.

The listing describes the grandeur of the residence:
The South Tower Penthouse is the embodiment of the last unicorn of Manhattan. While each and every unit of the San Remo was designed with unprecedented luxury and detail, each of the penthouses that topped the twin towers where given special attention. Each tower penthouse was capped with circular Roman style temples ringed by Corinthian columns inspired by the Choragic Monument of Lysicrates in Athens giving the building its unique and unforgettable silhouette. While each penthouse was designed with great care, particular attention was provided to the South Tower Penthouse, which was the only duplex that remained from its original design. While all other duplex units would eventually be divided into single floor units, the South Penthouse previously acquired a portion of the tower’s mechanical and storage space above elevating it to what is perhaps now the ultimate Triplex Penthouse to rise above Central Park.
This is the first time in 25 years that the 17-room penthouse is available, and if the residence fetches the $75 million asking price it will be the most expensive co-op ever sold on the Upper West Side, taking the top spot from a $26.4 million sale at the San Remo last year.
