Greenpoint Townhouse by WeDesign WeBuild Has a Unique Point of View
We love Greenpoint. We also love great design, and this beautiful townhouse brings those two fabulous things together. From the design team at WeDesign WeBuild, the interior of this home is a fresh approach to color, texture and light. With subtle Scandinavian-style touches, warm natural elements, and crisp white walls, this home could easily turn any self-professed Manhattanite into a happy Brooklyn dweller.
The first stop on our tour is the foyer, which is accessed through a large wood door that hangs sturdily on iron tracks mounted above the doorway. The stairwell is framed by a rich dark railing, and a cool coat rack compliments the space with some unexpected curvature.
The gorgeous living room is mostly white; however there’s no lack of vibrancy in this space. The room’s textiles and furnishings bring together various patterns and materials, creating a visual dynamism that is both warm and inviting.
Though we love the entire house, the kitchen might just be our favorite room. WeDesign WeBuild combines so many different styles into one cohesive look it’s hard to know where to start. Not only does the space feel fresh and modern, but raw materials and industrial finishings give it the rustic feel synonymous with the neighborhood.
The kitchen also features a huge basin sink, sure to accommodate any size dish load, as well as a breakfast bar and clever built-ins.
Additional seating is provided by a funky bench and more formal chairs surrounding the long wood dining room table just adjacent to the kitchen island. Light floods the dining room space through two doors that symmetrically frame the table, and an east-meets-west chandelier is the perfect finishing detail.
The bathroom features the same cool style as the rest of the house including clean white subway tiles, exposed copper pipes, and a vintage mirror.
