This Charming Gramercy Park Pied-a-Terre Glows with a Stunning Skylight
If you’re looking for a pied-a-terre in the coveted historic Gramercy Park, you’re in luck. An adorable one-bedroom penthouse at 206 East 18th Street has just popped up on the market, and it’s the perfect setting for anything from dinner parties to book club. This charming pad won us over with a lovely skylit living room, so we had to take a look inside to see what else it has in store.
Unit 6 is warm and inviting with hardwood floors and a wood-burning fireplace of whitewashed brick. A charming skylight and 11-foot ceilings add light and openness to the already spacious living room. Conveniently enough, there’s also a pass-through window connecting the entertainment space to the kitchen, so you can socialize with guests or pass the crudités with seamless ease. The kitchen also has stainless steel appliances—including a dishwasher—and a substantial amount of cabinets. A cozy bedroom features even taller 12-foot ceilings and a nice-sized closet.
There are only six units in 206 East 18th Street, a well-maintained brownstone built in 1920. Unfortunately the pet-friendly building is a few blocks from the exclusive Gramercy Park—a few blocks too far for you to be a member—but that doesn’t mean you can’t stroll past it. Plus, there’s so much more to enjoy in the quiet neighborhood with Stuy Town and bustling Union Square right nearby.
