It’s been 16 years since supermodel Karolina Kurkova bought this Tribeca loft for $2.3 million, but she’s now ready to unload it, listing the apartment for $4.7 million. Kurkova worked with architect and former model Robin Osler to completely redesign the space, with interior design by Interior Marketing Group. Located at the celeb-heavy River Lofts condominium at 92 Laight Street, the two-bedroom home has stylish, custom features like a cowhide wall, an entry foyer that doubles as an art gallery, and, of course, some really serious closets.
When Kurkova bought the apartment it was a three-bedroom, but she reconfigured it as an elegant two-bedroom, with a separate dressing room/home office. The entrance opens into an oversized foyer/gallery that’s perfect for showcasing artwork. A large, custom-built entry closet is smartly concealed.
A hallway lined in a custom cowhide wall covering conceals more closets and leads to the living and dining room. The space is highlighted by oversized windows overlooking the Hudson River and a wall of custom millwork that hides the television.
The kitchen is separated from the living room by a white glass wall with a frosted glass panel that creates privacy but lets light in. The super-sleek room has appliances by Miele and Gaggenau, custom cabinetry, and a breakfast bar with stools.
The secondary bedroom is off the entry. It has two full walls of closets and an en-suite bathroom.
The primary bedroom suite is undoubtedly special. There is an east-facing balcony, custom millwork throughout, a large walk-in closet, and an en-suite bathroom with a dual vanity, deep soaking tub, and glass-enclosed stall shower. The custom dressing room/home office is described as “a private sanctuary” and features a ton of custom closets, a separate work area, and two large east-facing windows.
Kurkova had her third child with husband Archie Drury this past spring, and her representative told the Wall Street Journal that the family has outgrown the apartment and spends most of their time at their primary residence in Miami. In an email to the Journal, Kurkova said, “The best part for me was the feeling of happiness and ease when I would come home from work each day. It’s a modern-day oasis in the bustling city. I have had some of the best memories there.”
