New Yorkers are stepping up to support those affected by the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles. Three fires continue to burn, with firefighters working tirelessly to contain the blazes amid high winds and water shortages. As of Monday, the Palisades fire, the largest active blaze, has spread across more than 23,000 acres, leaving communities deeply impacted. Whether you have roots in California or simply want to help, several New York City businesses are rallying to raise funds and provide resources for LA residents in need. Kancil
434 Amsterdam Avenue, Upper East Side
From January 13 to March 3, patrons of the Upper East Side’s Kancil can enjoy a meal while supporting a good cause, with 50 percent of the day’s proceeds going straight to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation to aid in combating the wildfires.
Porterhouse Party
Slate NY, 54 West 21st Street
The steak catering company Porterhouse Party is teaming up with Slate NYC to host a fundraiser in support of the Los Angeles Fire Department. For $85, patrons can enjoy a gourmet dinner featuring prime thick-cut bacon, filet mignon bites, 45-day dry-aged porterhouse steaks, bone marrow shots, and a variety of sides. A portion of ticket proceeds and bar sales will go toward wildfire relief efforts. Tickets are available for purchase here.
The Stand
116 East 16th Street
Union Square’s comedy club, The Stand, is hosting a special charity show on January 18 at 8 p.m. to raise funds for the American Red Cross, with proceeds going toward wildfire relief efforts. The lineup features Paul Virzi, Jim Florentine, Gabby Bryan, Jon Rudnitsky, Vladimir Caamano, and Mark Normand. Throughout January, the club will also donate a portion of the proceeds from their shows to the American Red Cross. Tickets cost $25 per person and are available for purchase here.
Rogue
154 Allen Street and 313 East Houston Street
Rogue’s two NYC locations are now accepting clothing donations for those impacted by the LA wildfires. New Yorkers are encouraged to drop off gently used clothing at either of the store’s locations. The first round of donations is already on its way to the West Coast. Donations can be made between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. at Rogue’s Lower East Side locations.
Time Out Market New York
55 Water Street
Dumbo’s Time Out Market is offering two drink specials, with all proceeds going towards Red Cross-Wildfire Relief. Through January 19, patrons can enjoy the Blueberry Margarita or the non-alcoholic Cucumber Jalapeno Spritz at any of the market’s three bars: the Lobby Bar, the Rooftop, and the Local Corner.
Viva Toro

Migo Events has partnered with East Williamsburg’s Viva Toro to collect donations for those impacted by the LA wildfires. They’ve gathered clothing and now seek toiletries, feminine products, new socks, underwear, and children’s clothes. Those interested in donating can drop off the requested items in bags on January 14 and 15 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The donated items are being shipped to non-profit organizations in California like the YMCA and Altadena Girls, according to Pix 11.

Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation
The Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation has issued an emergency funding alert, urging donors to support efforts to save lives and protect Californians’ property during the ongoing wildfires. Wildfire Relief Fund 2025
Organized by GoFundMe, this relief fund has already raised nearly $2.5 million, with contributions continuing to support those affected by the fires. The fund focuses on helping communities impacted by U.S. wildfires, with a current emphasis on the LA fires. Donations are directed to individuals qualifying for relief, as well as small businesses, community efforts, and verified nonprofits.
California Community Foundation
Since 2003, the CCF Wildfire Recovery Fund has supported communities across the state affected by wildfires, continuing its efforts long after media attention has moved on. Contributions will help those most impacted by the fires, with a focus on underserved communities. Funding will support CCF’s disaster recovery efforts, including housing, case management, mental health care, and medical care for displaced Angelenos. You can make a donation here.

Over 200 workers from the American Red Cross are currently in the field, assisting Southern California residents who have been forced to flee their homes due to the fires.
