About five months after he was fired as head coach by the Nets, Steve Nash has listed his Brooklyn townhouse for $6,250,000. As first reported by the New York Post, the NBA star bought the home at 82 Amity Street in Cobble Hill in November 2020 for just under $5 million. The 20-foot-wide five-bedroom townhouse measures roughly 4,200 square feet across four stories, in addition to a lovely private garden and a roof deck. A recently completed gut renovation makes the home move-in ready.
The turnkey townhouse has a”Scandinavian motif,” as the listing describes, with a natural color scheme, exposed white brick, a custom curved plaster staircase, and modern steel casement doors and windows.
Entering the property via the parlor level’s classic New York City stoop, you’ll find an open floor plan, with the spacious and sun-filled formal living room seamlessly linked to the kitchen.
The chef’s kitchen is outfitted with top-of-the-line appliances, Space Theory cabinetry by Henry Built, and a center island with sleek quartz countertops. Overlooking the garden, the glass wall illuminates and warms the space.
The garden floor is ideal for overnight guests, with a family room, bedroom with a full bathroom, and direct access to the yard. Below this level is a finished basement, perfect for recreation.
The primary suite can be found on the third floor, along with a street-facing additional guest bedroom or home office. The primary bath features a custom white oak vanity and a Duravit double soaking tub.
On the top floor, there are two bedrooms, two baths, and a laundry room.
The peaceful roof deck boasts both skyline and water views. The home sits at the nexus of several sought-after neighborhoods, including charming Brooklyn Heights and the Columbia Street Waterfront District.
