Located in between two of Manhattan’s best green spaces, Morningside Park and Central Park, a new rental has launched a lottery for 32 middle-income apartments. The 13-story building at 251 West 117th Street in Harlem sits behind the former St. Thomas the Apostle Church, which has been restored and converted into a community and performance space. Qualifying New Yorkers earning 130 percent of the area median income can apply for the units, which include $2,357/month studios, $2,526/month one-bedrooms, and $3,044/month two bedrooms.

Designed by Gerner Kronick + Valcarcel Architects and developed by Artimus Development, the building offers residents a lounge, fitness center, children’s playroom, a common courtyard, a rooftop space, bike storage, and a laundry room.

In addition to being located just a few blocks from two major parks, 251 West 117th street is near a ton of high-rated eateries and bars, including Levain Bakery, Southern-comfort restaurant Melba, speakeasy 67 Orange Street, and craft beer bar Mess Hall. Nearest transit options are the B and C lines at 116th Street and Frederick Douglass Boulevard, the 2 and 3 lines at Malcolm X Boulevard, and the A train at the 110th Street- Cathedral Parkway Station.
