This $6K/month West Village loft comes with a ton of exposed brick and a dash of fun
The listing for this “truly unique” 1,200-square-foot loft at 73 8th Avenue at the Meatpacking/West Village border tells of its “ton of exposed brick,” and though we’re not sure that’s an exact measurement, we know it’s asking exactly $6,000 a month to enjoy its one bedroom, 14-foot ceilings, wide-plank cherry wood floors and private outdoor paradise.
Located on the first floor of a pretty townhouse in a neighborhood of pretty townhouses, this one-bedroom loft rental isn’t cheap, but looks to be worth its weight in good times. The aforementioned exposed brick is indeed in evidence, as is plenty of space for big comfy furniture and an outsized quarter pounder.
The separate, renovated chef’s kitchen wants to know, “Where’s Charles?” But at least we know the whereabouts of the dishwasher, stainless steel fridge and oven, Silestone countertops and custom cabinets–and who drank the wine.
There’s more brick in the bedroom, and a decorative fireplace for storage. The bath is clean and bright with a vessel sink.
A large, private deck gives you that rare urban paradise in the great outdoors, complete with astroturf. Pets–including low-maintenance flamingoes and tortoises–will be considered on case-by-case basis.
