Applications are now being accepted for 42 affordable units in the Bronx. Located at 740 Brook Avenue in Woodstock, the nine-story mixed-use building offers tenants brand-new residences and a variety of amenities. New Yorkers earning 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, and 100 percent of the area median income, or between $16,183 for a single person and $165,500 for a household of seven, can apply for the apartments which range from $397/month studios to $2,545/month three bedrooms.

Designed by Dattner Architects and developed by the NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development, 740 Brook contains a total of 55 units. The building offers residents a variety of amenities, including pet-friendly policies, a shared laundry room, a recreation room, an outdoor terrace, and a community center, according to Yimby.

All units come equipped with dishwashers, air conditioning, smart controls for heating and cooling, and energy-efficient appliances.

Nearby transportation options include the 2 and 5 trains accessible at the Jackson Avenue and 3 Ave – 149 St subway stations, as well as the Bx4, Bx15, and Bx21 buses.
