Way back in February 2015, 3 Pierrepont Place hit the market for $40 million, making it Brooklyn's most expensive listing ever. The Brooklyn Heights Promenade mansion boasts 17,500 square feet, 15 bedrooms, 16 bathrooms, and more than 9,000 square feet of garden and outdoor space, in addition to a wealth of period details. Plus it comes with a bit of historic pedigree; it was built in 1857 as the Low Mansion for businessman A.A. Low, whose son, Seth Low, became mayor of Brooklyn, mayor of New York City in 1902, and president of Columbia. Perhaps it's all these bragging rights that attracted Matt Damon, as the Post reports that he and wife Luciana Barroso recently toured the grand property.

Meryl Streep’s former Greenwich Village townhouse asks $28.5M

Before buying a penthouse at Tribeca's 92 Laight Street in 2004 for $9 million, three-time Academy Award winner Meryl Streep called this lovely townhouse in Greenwich Village home. She purchased the five-story brick residence at 19 West 12th Street for $2.1 million in 1995, and then sold it 10 years later for $9.1 million to heiress Libet Johnson, according to LL NYC. Built in 1895, the home retained much of its historic detail when Streep resided there, but it's since been given an uber-contemporary makeover, most notably the Calacatta marble master bathroom that the listing describes as "unequivocally one of the most sensational in the city."

Despite hopes for a move to Washington D.C., the Clintons are expanding their Westchester property, as the couple has picked up a $1.16 million ranch-style residence right next door to their current home, a larger house that they bought back in 1999 for $1.7 million. As the Post first reported, the powerful pair now own an entire cul-de-sac at the end of a Chappaqua block. In addition to giving the Clintons more space to stretch out in, the buy will apparently also make life easier for the Secret Service.

It's been just 10 days since Alec and Hilaria Baldwin welcomed their third child together into the world, but they're wasting no time continuing the hunt for a larger home to accommodate their growing brood. After touring a $16.5 million Chelsea penthouse at the beginning of the month, they've now set their sites on a similarly-sized, $16.6 million spread at Nomad's 212 Fifth Avenue, reports the Post. The 1912 neo-Gothic buiding sits at the northwest corner of Madison Square Park, and the four-bedroom unit that caught the couple's eyes boasts soaring ceilings, three exposures with views south to the Flatiron building and Freedom Tower, a marble-floored entry foyer, and a twelve-foot-long Calacatta gold marble kitchen island.

Stanton has encountered wild success, even authoring a book that spent 29 weeks on the New York Times bestseller list, and he's now scored a lovely Chelsea co-op, reports the Observer. Though we're not sure about composer Andrew Lloyd Webber's political leanings in this country (he's a Conservative in Britain), he sure does seem to love some Donald Trump real estate. The Observer reports that the British musical theater impresario has dropped $7.6 million on a two-bedroom 35th-floor unit at Trump International in an off-market deal. He and his wife Madeleine already own another adjacent unit on the same floor in the Central Park West tower, which they bought in 2012 for $5.8 million after selling a Trump Tower duplex for $16.5 million in 2010.

Judge orders Sean Lennon to remove tree that’s damaging Marisa Tomei’s parents’ house

After 19 months of finger pointing and contentious legal battles, Sean Lennon (son of John and Yoko) has been ordered by a Manhattan judge to remove a tree on his Greenwich Village property at 153 West 13th Street after being sued by neighbors Gary and Addie Tomei (parents of actress Marisa Tomei). As 6sqft previously recounted, the Tomeis claimed the tree had spread its roots onto their property, cracking the stoop, breaking the railings, and coming through the basement floor of their townhouse. Though they also asked for $10 million in damages, it looks like the judge didn't move on that part of the suit, though she did quote Beatles lyrics in her ruling.

After just a year, former New York Rangers center Derick Brassard has listed his condo at One York Street in Tribeca, reports the Observer. In 2014, the French-Canadian hockey star signed a $25 million, five-year contract extension with the Blueshirts, so it came as no surprise that he dropped $4.15 million on the sleek pad last September. The Post reports that Pulitzer Prize-winning author Junot Diaz's Hamilton Heights townhouse at 529 West 141st Street has entered contract for $2.3 million, after he paid a mere $380,000 for it in 2002. He won't be pocketing all of it, though, as the sale comes amid an "an ugly, five-year court battle" with ex-girlfriend and state Senate candidate Marisol Alcantara over ownership of the three-family home. But $2 million split two ways is not too shabby.

The Post reports that the South African comedian is renting a $15,000 a month bachelor pad at Stella Tower, the Ralph Walker condo conversion in Hell's Kitchen. The Art Deco tower was built in 1927 as a telephone building and was converted along with Chelsea's Walker Tower in recent years by JDS Development Group. Noah's new digs are a 1,700-square-foot, two-bedroom residence that has an impressive outdoor terrace. Located at 425 West 50th Street, it's just a few blocks away from The Daily Show Studios at 52nd Street and Eleventh Avenue.

Tribeca Citizen first reported information from an anonymous source that the model and youngest member of the Kardashian clan purchased a Tribeca penthouse, and Curbed determined, based on an Instagram photo and sales records, that it may be the $7 million top-floor unit at 15 Leonard Street. The five-bedroom triplex not only has luxurious interior details like floating concrete stairs and a limestone-clad master bath, but it boasts six outdoor terraces (perfect for setting up film crews).

It's safe to say at this point that Alec Baldwin's infamous New York Magazine tirade about leaving the public eye of New York was not literal, as two and half years later the actor and his wife Hilaria haven't budged. In fact, the couple, currently expecting their third child together, was seen checking out a $16.5 million Chelsea penthouse, according to the Post. The 5,000-square-foot apartment is located at the top of one of the London Terrace Towers towers and is being sold as an approved combination of two existing units. It's said to be currently owned by "Sopranos" creator David Chase. But Baldwin hasn't eased up on privacy concerns. Baldwin hasn't eased up on privacy concerns, however. As 6sqft previously reported, the couple was in talks with Airbnb the last few months for a lavish pad that would be provided to them at no monetary cost, so long as Kim posted something on one of her many social media accounts about it. And lo and behold, as The Post first reports, Kim sealed the deal yesterday on Instagram with a sultry shot captioned with “Just checked into our NYC penthouse. Thanks @airbnb for the gift of our home away from home.”

Six months after $6M buy, supermodel Irina Shayk lists 150 Charles condo as a $20,000 rental

When Sports Illustrated supermodel Irina Shayk bought a $6 million condo at celebrity favorite 150 Charles Street back in February, it was rumored that she'd be shacking up there with boyfriend Bradley Cooper. But it looks like she was getting in on the investment game; only six months later she's put the two-bedroom spread on the rental market for $20,000 a month. The Observer reports that Shayk never even moved in to the West Village building, where Ben Stiller, Jon Bon Jovi, and fashion photographer Steven Klein have also purchased units. This could be because she's still living at her other West Village condo at 166 Perry Street, which she listed last December for $4 million. Regardless, the new tenant of this sleek abode will be in good company.

Gawker founder Nick Denton can’t pay mortgage on Soho condo, needs renter approved

If you visit Gawker.com today, you'll see a final farewell that simply says "F— It," leading up to Univision's takeover of the media company later this month. But Gawker Media founder Nick Denton isn't so quick to throw in the towel in every aspect of his struggling empire; according to the Post, he's found a renter for who will fork over $12,500 a month for his $4.2 million Soho condo (in the same building where Kelly Ripa sold her penthouse at a $4.5 million discount). After publishing a sex video of him, Gawker was notoriously sued by Hulk Hogan, who won a $140 million settlement against the company, forcing Denton to file bankruptcy since he's personally liable for $10 million. So in May, he put his apartment at 76 Crosby Street on the market for $15,000 a month, the cost of his monthly mortgage payment that he now can't make, along with $3,400 in condo fees. But in order for the deal to go through, Denton needs a bankruptcy judge to approve the lease.

It's been 16 months since John Legend and Chrissy Teigen listed their uber-stylish Nolita loft for $4.5 million, and four months since they welcomed their baby daughter Luna into the world, and now the power couple is free to find a new family-friendly home as the Observer reports that their apartment has sold for $3.995 million. The couple purchased the apartment in 2012 for $2.5 million after selling their East Village condo at 52 East 4th Street for $2.7 million. They enlisted Don Stewart of Los Angeles–based firm Desiderata Design to complete the "dark, moody atmosphere," which is an attractive combo of cozy, industrial, and eclectic. Some of the unique design elements, in addition to the requisite piano nook, are a reclaimed wood wall, an Asian-inspired green silk bed spread, and a 19th century gilded leather screen on a bedroom wall.

Funnyman Seth Meyers has just scored himself a sprawling duplex spread in Greenwich Village. According to city records released this afternoon, the comedian and his wife Alexi dropped $7.519M on the 3,200-square-foot co-op at 32 Washington Square West, a prewar construction that sits at the northwest corner of the beloved Washington Square Park. According to the listing, the apartment boasts five bedrooms, 4.5 baths, excellent light through its 26 windows, four exposures, two wood burning fireplaces, a chefs kitchen, a supersized living/dining room setup, and much much more. Incidentally, this apartment is no stranger to hosting A-list celebs. The home was previously owned by actress Mary Louise Parker—she sold the spacious pad for $7.75 million in 2013.

Babe Ruth’s Former UWS Apartment Sells to ‘How I Met Your Mother’ Actress

Though this Upper West Side apartment doesn't look like much, it's certainly racking up the celebrity accolades. At the end of his career, from 1929 to 1940, Babe Ruth and his family owned the entire seventh floor at 345 West 88th Street. At the time it boasted 11 rooms, but it's since been divided into two units. One unit, 7B, hit the market for $1,595,000 last August; the other, 7F, listed in February for $1,175,000. According to the Observer, the latter has sold for $1,130,000 to former "How I Met Your Mother" actress Ashley Williams and her husband, producer Neal Dodson.
