Just 42 days after it hit the market for $2.75 million, and a mere two days since 6sqft and other media outlets reported on it, Chloe Sevigny's Park Slope co-op has gone into contract, a tipster tells us. The Indie actress bought the pre-war spread at 9 Prospect Park West for $2,053,000 in 2013, after which she completed a renovation that created a chic space with "a sophisticated mix of classic furniture and interesting artwork."

After selling her East Village garden apartment for $1.76 million in 2013 (the area had become too much like a frat house for her liking), indie darling Chloë Sevigny moved to Park Slope, which she chose, as Brownstoner notes, to avoid "hip" Brooklyn in favor of the "dorkiest, hokiest neighborhood." She paid $2,053,000 for a pre-war co-op at 9 Prospect Park West, modernizing the home with an updated kitchen, cerused oak floors, and a sophisticated mix of classic furniture and interesting artwork. But perhaps the Slope has become too trendy for her as well, as she's listed the home for $2.75 million.

Emily Blunt and John Krasinski drop $6M on a historic Park Slope townhouse

When she started working on "The Girl on the Train" back at the end of 2015, Emily Blunt was rumored to be moving to Brooklyn since the movie was filming here in the city (despite the fact that the book took place near London). Now that the thriller opened at number one in the weekend box office, the sleuths over at LLNYC have uncovered that she and hubby John Krasinski did, in fact, move to the borough in December of last year, dropping $6 million on this landmarked Park Slope townhouse. According to filings with the DOB, they also spent $300,000 renovating the six-bedroom limestone beauty.

New Renderings of Park Slope’s Parking Garage Condo Conversion at 800 Union Street

In 2014, plans were announced to convert a cherished Park Slope parking garage at 708-804 Union Street into residential apartments. Slopers complained that the 260-car garage's removal would increase traffic and that the underway development would overcrowd schools. Nonetheless, the longtime property’s owner Lewis Meltzer secured a zoning variance and building department approvals to convert the 85-year-old structure into residential units with retail space at ground level. Now, Midwood Investment & Development and Hailey Development Group are bringing the project to fruition, redistributing the parking garage's 52,000 square feet of bulk across six high-ceilinged floors and carving out 28 high-end condo units and 11,153 square feet of retail.

Colorful $425K Park Slope Co-op Makes Up in Location What It Lacks in Square Feet

It's often said that you can't change your home's location, so you'd better love it; in that case there's plenty to love about this colorful and cozy prewar apartment steps from Prospect Park, restaurants, bars and shopping on Seventh (and Fifth, Sixth, Eighth and Vanderbilt) Avenues and the 2/3/B/Q trains. Though the location is fairly perfect, this junior one co-op has plenty of personality on its own, with prewar elegance, high ceilings, decorative moldings, French doors and gorgeous restored parquet wood flooring. "Junior" one bedroom translates to a studio with a separate bedroom area—more often than not somewhat less than ideal, but better than not being able to shut a door between you and your couch-surfing houseguest playing video games for eighteen straight hours.
