Joan Collins’ Midtown pied-a-terre with 16 closets lists for $2.1M

Actress, author, philanthropist, and all-around icon Dame Joan Collins has put her Midtown East pied-a-terre on the market for $2,095,000. The "Dynasty" star and her husband, producer Percy Gibson, purchased the three-bedroom co-op in 2002, shortly after getting married, according to the Times, which also reports that the couple hosted celebrities like musicians Michael Feinstein and Neil Sedaka and actress Diahann Carroll here. Located at the Dorchester at 110 East 57th Street, the home was appealing to Ms. Collins for its spacious layout and 16 closets, reports the Times.

Tommy Hilfiger sells lavish, chateau-style Connecticut estate for $45M

Fashion mogul Tommy Hilfiger has unloaded the last of his Greenwich, Connecticut properties for $45 million, Sotheby's International Realty tells 6sqft. The 22-acre estate was built in 1939 and resembles a French chateau from the outside, with an eclectic, European flair inside. It's located on the summit of Round Hill, the highest point in Greenwich, providing views of the Long Island Sound and Manhattan skyline. Other lavish amenities include a baronial Elizabethan-style spiral staircase, six fireplaces, a pool house, tennis court, and parterre gardens. According to the Post, he and his wife Dee Ocleppo bought the home for $31.37 million in 2010, after which they spent millions more on renovations.

Located at 175 East 2nd Street, between Avenues A and B, the 1,500-square-foot home has incredible beamed ceilings, exposed beams and brick, and two beautiful skylights. There's also a 1,400-square-foot private roof deck with views as far as the Financial District and Chrysler Building. The couple bought the unit for $1,650,000 in 2006 and listed it as a $10,000/month rental in 2017.

Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen unload Tribeca condo for $37M

Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen have long maintained a home in New York City, but now that the NFL quarterback has taken up with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, they're consolidating a bit. As the Post first spotted, the couple has sold their Tribeca apartment for $36,800,000 million, according to property records. Brady and supermodel Bündchen bought the five-bedroom, 12th-floor pad in Robert A.M. Stern's 70 Vestry Street in 2018 for $25.5 million pad. Just last month, though, they bought a smaller unit on the same floor for $3.5 million, which will presumably now serve as their NYC pied-à-terre.

After 20 years, Sarah Jessica Parker sells West Village townhouse for $15M

As was first spotted by the Wall Street Journal, Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick have sold one of their West Village townhouses for $15 million, according to property records. The couple bought the home on Charles Street in 2000 for just $2,995,000. This time last year, the rumor mill said that they'd been trying to sell the property off-market, as they were living in this home while construction took place combining two adjacent townhouses on West 11th Street that Parker and Broderick bought for $34.5 million in 2016.

Simon and his wife, singer-songwriter Edie Brickell, bought the home in 2002 and raised their three children there.

During her teenage years (h/t Wall Street Journal), actress and Goop founder Gwyneth Paltrow lived in this grand Upper East Side townhouse off Central Park at 9 East 92nd Street. According to city property records, her parents, late producer Bruce Paltrow and actress Blythe Danner, owned the seven-bedroom home from 1984 to 1992. According to the Journal, Paltrow was 11 when her family moved from California to NYC, where she attended the prestigious Spence School, an all-girls private school just around the corner from her then-home.

Late British actor Alan Rickman, known for, among countless other roles, playing Severus Snape in the Harry Potter series, lived primarily in England, but he had a great affinity for New York City. When he performed on Broadway (he was nominated for a Tony Award for his role in Noel Coward's Private Lives) he resided in his pied-à-terre in the West Village. Just three months after listing her massive Chelsea duplex for $7.9 million, Academy Award-winning actress Susan Sarandon has sold her long-time home for its full asking price. Located at 147 West 15th Street, the 6,000-square-foot co-op is spread over two floors and has six bedrooms, four exposures including views of the World Trade Center and Empire State Building, and an outdoor terrace and balcony. Over the summer, Queens-native Sarandon told the Wall Street Journal that she isn't leaving the city just downsizing to a smaller apartment in the area. "I’ve always been a New Yorker and I’ll continue to be a New Yorker," she said.

Located at 42 East 73rd Street, the three-bed, three-bath home boasts a Greek-inspired garden, with stately columns, a brick patio, and mature plantings. Whitaker, who is also a Sustainable Development Goals Advocate for the United Nations, snagged the property for about 8 percent less than the last listed asking price of $1.74 million. It was first listed last October for $1.895 million.

In 1998, the same year she began her breakout role in Sex and the City, actress Kim Cattrall bought this East Hampton home for just $450,000, according to the New York Times, who first reported that it's now been listed for $3,250,000. The shingled home is a lovely mix of casual beach house and contemporary design, and the property also has a detached studio. "I thought about selling the property after my divorce in 2004," Cattrall told the Times, "but I just couldn’t — 22 years later, it’s time."

Hotelier Andre Balazs lists his flashy Soho condo for $12M

Hotelier Andre Balazs, best known for LA's Chateau Marmont, the Mercer Hotel in NYC, and the string of trendy Standard Hotels, unsurprisingly lives a life as lavish as the destination he creates. His personal condo in Soho, taking up the entire top floor at 158 Mercer Street, is no exception. Balazs added plenty of his own panache to the 4,200-square-foot loft, including massive stretches of built-in bookshelves, a custom "wall of light," and a 13th-century Florentine fresco. He also added hotel-quality rooms like a nearly 275-square-foot closet, a personal gym, and a steam room. As the Wall Street Journal first reported, Balazs has decided to list the home for $12 million as he spends much of his time now in Europe.

One of New York City's most storied apartments has just hit the market. John Lennon's former penthouse at 434 East 52nd Street, where he briefly lived with his mistress May Pang during the 1970s and famously spotted a UFO, is asking $5.5 million. The 4,000-square-foot triplex in the Southgate co-op, located where Sutton Place, Beekman, and Midtown East meet, was also where the iconic photos of Lennon wearing a tank top that said "New York City" were taken.

Jennifer Lawrence sells Upper East Side penthouse at a $6M loss

In 2016, Jennifer Lawrence picked up a $15.6 million penthouse on the Upper East Side. She must have really wanted to offload it, because last summer, she listed it for $15,450,000 and dropped it to $12 million earlier this month. According to city property records, the Oscar-winning actress ultimately sold the home at 400 East 67th Street for $9,900,000, taking a nearly $6 million loss. Listing agent Pamela D'Arc of Compass declined to comment on the sale.
