Even the Laundry Room Is Cute at This Clinton Hill Apartment
It’s the perfect season to start drooling over garden apartments. This co-op apartment, at 110 Clinton Avenue in Clinton Hill, has a charming interior as well as a lovely, massive garden with plantings and a 70-year-old maple tree. In fact, we can’t decide what we like better—the inside or the out. (Just wait until you see the laundry room.) The whole shebang is on the market for $895,000.
The two-bedroom co-op is configured as a duplex with about 1,200 square feet of space. You access it from a private entrance set back from the street, and inside you’ve got high ceilings, big windows and wood floors. Although the kitchen, living and dining room—all located on the first floor—are in close quarters, the vibe is decidedly more cozy than cramped.
The downstairs rec room is being used as a second bedroom by the current owner. There’s also enough space for a laundry, home office and storage.
Good design isn’t going to make laundry fun, but it’s certainly better than a drab basement space or crowded New York City laundromat. When it comes to laundry rooms, we’ve never seen anything cuter.
You’ll access the garden from the bottom floor of the apartment. It’s a massive outdoor space, at 1,600 square feet! Big enough for gardening, barbecuing, or relaxing. There’s even a separate area of the garden with raised planter beds.
Overall, the apartment feels more like a cottage upstate than a co-op in the middle of Brooklyn. If you buy it, can we come visit?
