It’s Hard to Pick a Favorite Apartment at This Double Duplex in Boerum Hill
When it comes to multi-family townhouses, it’s typical that the owner’s floors look a whole lot more desirable than the units that will be listed for rent. Not so at this Boerum Hill townhouse at 355 Pacific Street. The house has undergone a renovation resulting in two very lovely duplex apartments. Picking favorites is going to be a lot harder than the new owner might expect. For the whole 3,440-square-foot property, it’s asking $4.595 million.
The lower duplex (pictured above) comes with a double parlor space, working fireplace and lots of big windows. There’s a separate dining room and kitchen, which leads to an outdoor deck and private garden. Downstairs, there are two bedrooms and a bathroom.
The master bedroom of the lower duplex exits directly out into the backyard. Throughout the townhouse, you’ve also got great detailing like pocket shutters, hardwood floors, tin ceilings and crown moldings.
Now we’re on to the upper duplex. It’s a little less formal and a little more loft-like, with an open staircase and a fully open first floor. There’s a large living room, kitchen and dining area on this floor, as well as a full bathroom.
On the top floor, the upper duplex comes with three bedrooms and another full, tiled bathroom with a clawfoot tub and separate shower. Overall, the modern touches to the kitchen and bathroom spaces look very well done.
There is one feature that may help you decide your loyalty between both apartments: only the lower duplex gets access to the deck and backyard. Now that it’s summertime, it’s hard to turn that down.
