From the library to the rooftop sunroom and private terrace with dazzling Hudson River views, loft lovers won't want to change a thing in this perfect penthouse at 288 West Street. As 6sqft previously reported, actress Jennifer Connelly and British actor Paul Bettany bought the four-bedroom penthouse in celebrity-magnet Tribeca for just under $7,000,000 in 2008. Four years later the couple reportedly sold the home in an off-market sale for $8,495,000 when they decamped for the brownstones of Brooklyn. The 4,000-square-foot penthouse loft is back on the market, asking $12,000,000.

Tribeca loft living is at its finest at this four-bedroom riverfront duplex. Located at 288 West Street, known as the Medium Lipstick Building, the brick warehouse building was built in 1855 as a spice storehouse and has since been converted to 14 co-op units. This particular apartment has all the classic architectural details-- beamed ceilings, wooden columns, exposed brick, arched windows--but with modern additions like a floating glass-enclosed staircase, double-sided fireplace, sleek white built-ins, and a sauna.

Jennifer Connelly trades Tribeca co-op for $15M Brooklyn Heights townhouse

Actors Jennifer Connelly and Paul Bettany are switching boroughs by selling their Tribeca co-op and picking up a Brooklyn Heights townhouse for $15.5 million. The sale represents one of the most expensive deals in Brooklyn ever, according to the Wall Street Journal. While the transaction was off-market, an old listing for the Brooklyn property at 140 Columbia Heights describes the 8,000-square-foot home as having views of the Statue of Liberty and the Lower Manhattan skyline. The sellers are Timothy Ingrassia, a Goldman Sachs executive, and his wife Stephanie, who serves as a vice chair on the Brooklyn Museum's board of trustees. The Ingrassias paid $10.75 million for the property in 2006.

Jason Biggs sells custom-designed Tribeca loft for $2.7M

"American Pie" actor Jason Biggs and his wife Jenny Mollen have sold their spacious three-bedroom Tribeca loft for $2.65 million, after first putting the pad on the market nearly a year ago. The 2,200-square-foot apartment at 288 West Street boasts authentic details throughout, like timber beams and columns, as well as hardwood oak floors. As the Observer learned, Biggs and Mollen bought the apartment for $2.55 million in October 2013 and tapped designer Cliff Fong to decorate the space. The couple moved to the West Village this past summer after purchasing a $6.98 million four-bedroom condo at the Shephard.

"American Pie" and "Orange is the New Black" actor Jason Biggs married actress and author Jenny Mollen in 2008, after they met filming "My Best Friend's Girl." Five years later, the trendy couple bought a sprawling Tribeca loft at 288 West Street for $2.55 million, enlisting designer-to-the-stars Cliff Fong (with whom they'd worked previously on two L.A. homes) to outfit the space with a combination of modern furniture and accessories from Wayfair.com, their extensive art collection, and playful and comfortable pieces to accommodate their three-year-old son Sid--all of which blend seamlessly with the loft's brick walls, exposed timber framing and beams, raw pipes, and open floorplan. They've now decided to put the apartment on the market, and it's asking a not-especially, marked-up price of $2,995,000.

This two-bedroom apartment, at the condo 288 West Street in Tribeca, practically luxuriates in all its lofty details. The former timber frame loft building still retains much of its incredible interior, which has left this apartment decked out with ceiling beams, arched brick entryways, wood floors and high ceilings. It has just hit the market for $2.75 million after trying to sell earlier this year for $3.175 million.
