Another of comedian and actor Mike Myers’ fabulous homes is for sale. This 5,600-square-foot penthouse adjacent to the High Line at 505 West 19th Street in West Chelsea, asking $20,000,000, has two terraces and five bedrooms, with designer interiors courtesy of Thomas Juul Hansen, the building’s architect. According to the Wall Street Journal, the “Shrek” star purchased the home for $15.35 million in 2017.
Emerge from one of two key-locked elevators into a long entry foyer (or choose the separate service entrance ). In the massive great room, floor-to-ceiling casement windows offer neighborhood views via four exposures, and a modern fireplace anchors a full wall.
Step out onto the 900-square-foot terrace or into the pared-down library. An open kitchen, anchored by a Carrara marble waterfall island, features custom dark oak cabinetry accented by brass hardware. A full suite of Miele appliances includes great-to-have host-friendly extras like a warming drawer and a wine fridge.
Down a private hallway, the primary bedroom suite offers custom walk-in closets. A luxurious marble-clad en-suite bathroom is enhanced with heated marble flooring. Fabulous perk alert: Joining the soaking tub, shower, and wet room is a private sauna. Off the same hallway is a bedroom with a wet bar and its own terrace with city views.
The sprawling sky mansion offers three additional bedroom suites, all served by a large laundry room.
The Thomas Juul-Hansen-designed 505 West 19th Street residence is a full-service condominium with a state-of-the-art fitness center, a 24-hour concierge, a live-in resident manager, a laundry room, private storage and refrigerated storage, and bike storage.
