‘Barefoot Contessa’ Ina Garten asks $2M for Parisian-style Upper East Side pied-a-terre

This past August, Food Network star and famed cookbook author Ina Garten, along with husband Jeffrey, Yale University dean emeritus, dropped $4.65 million on an Upper East Side co-op at 563 Park Avenue, which they somewhat ironically bought from Nancy Novogrod, former editor-in-chief of Travel + Leisure magazine and Condé Nast’s House & Garden. Since they've now presumably settled in and made the elegant space their own, the couple has listed their nearby (smaller) pied-a-terre at 71 East 77th Street. The Post reports that the charming Daniel Romualdez-designed pad will be hitting the market for $1.97 million.

New Views of Robert A.M. Stern’s Limestone-Clad 70 Vestry Street

The Related Companies has launched the teaser website for its upcoming Tribeca condominium 70 Vestry Street. Related CEO Jeff Blau signed the purchase contract in December 2013 and closed on the six-parcel lot from Ponte Equities for $115.3 million in early 2014. Site excavation is already well underway, and new renderings of the Robert A.M. Stern-designed building have now surfaced. The project will pay homage to the neighborhood's distinctive warehouse architecture, and in true Stern fashion, will be clad in sumptuous French limestone.

252 East 57th Street Tops Off Construction Ten Years After Innovative Public-Private Partnership

Soaring more than 700 feet into the Midtown East skyline, World Wide Group and Rose Associate's 252 East 57th Street has officially topped out. Yes, it's hard being a stand-out skyscraper in Manhattan these days; some 30 years ago, the tower would have been the highest apartment tower in the city, just besting Trump Tower and Olympic Tower on Fifth Avenue. Today, the 57-story building is the shortest and eastern-most of six super-towers underway along the southern periphery of Central Park that have been raising average building heights and asking prices to new levels.
