Fashion brands reportedly boycott The Shed over Stephen Ross ties

After news broke last month about the Hamptons fundraiser Related Companies CEO Stephen Ross hosted for President Donald Trump, there were calls to boycott organizations owned by his company. While Equinox, SoulCycle, and David Chang's Momofuku Restaurant Group separated themselves from Ross to clear the air, some fashion brands have more recently blacklisted Ross-linked entities, including the arts center The Shed at Hudson Yards, which was developed by Related. The New York Post reported this week that Michael Kors, Vera Wang, and the Academy of Art have canceled shows at the venue following the fundraiser fallout in August.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo and his longtime girlfriend, cookbook author and TV chef Sandra Lee, are selling their four-bedroom country home in Westchester. Lee, who recently denied rumors that the couple had split, told the New York Times that they no longer need the large house because the governor's three daughters are now adults. The four-bedroom home in Mount Kisco sits on a tranquil three acres, which include a pond and gazebo. The pair originally listed the home at the end of May for $2 million, but it's now received a price chop to $1,699,000, according to lohud.

How brands owned by Stephen Ross have responded following the fallout from Trump fundraiser

After Related Companies CEO Stephen Ross's plan to host a fundraiser for President Donald Trump leaked to the public last week, there were calls to boycott organizations owned by his company. Much to the disappointment of many millennials, Ross's company owns Equinox, SoulCycle, and PureYoga, as well as foodie favorites Momofuku and Milk Bar. In response to the quick backlash, some of the brands released statements separating themselves from the Hamptons fundraiser, which raised millions of dollars for Trump's reelection campaign. Others announced plans to donate proceeds to charity.

Exclusive supper club for the ultra-wealthy will open at 35 Hudson Yards this fall

One of the city's most elite supper clubs is set to open this October at 35 Hudson Yards—and early reports say it's so exclusive that even residents of the luxury building (where apartments start at $5.1 million) won't be able to afford a membership. “It’s not for residents,” a source familiar with the project told the New York Post. “It’s for the developer’s super-rich buddies and CEO friends.” Details about the luxe club, which will be called WS New York, are being kept on the down-low but its website boasts "unparalleled access to the finest wine and spirits, world-class dining, and one-of-a-kind cultural events" offering guests an "insider perspective on rarified worlds."

Real Housewives of New York City star Ramona Singer has officially parted ways with her beloved Upper East Side apartment of 20 years. The empty-nester decided to list the four-bedroom Yorkville abode last year and downsize to a smaller space now that her 24-year-old daughter, Avery Singer, is no longer living at home. She initially listed the unit for $4.995 million and, as The Real Deal reports, just closed for a little over $4 million. Singer has already found a new home about 20 blocks south, where she’s been settling in with her old furniture. “It’s good when you move that you have your same furniture, ’cause it makes you feel familiar and not so strange,” she recently told Bravo.

Patriotic composer John Philip Sousa’s former Long Island mansion seeks a reduced $9M

Overlooking Manhasset Bay in Sands Point, Long Island the six-bedroom mansion at 12 Hicks Lane—otherwise known as Wild Bank—was home to “American March King” John Philip Sousa in the latter part of his life, from 1915 to 1932. By then, he had already written his most beloved marches, including Stars and Stripes Forever (the national march of the United States) and Semper Fidelis (the march of the United States Marine Corps). Like many of New York City’s elite at the time, he found an idyllic retreat on Long Island’s North Shore and lived in the home until his death at 77. The sprawling property was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1966 but remained a private residence. On the market for exactly one year, the 2.6-acre estate has received several price chops before settling on its current asking price of $8.995 million.

Federal government puts Paul Manafort’s Soho loft on the market for $3.6M

The federal government is selling former Donald Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort's Soho apartment for $3.663 million. As first reported by the New York Post, the loft at 29 Howard Street is one of five properties in New York City seized by the government after Manafort pleaded guilty to conspiracy charges last September. The listing, posted by the United States Marshals, describes the pad as being a "classic full-floor Soho loft" with "remarkable open sky and city views."

Christie Brinkley finally sells her $18M Sag Harbor vacation home

Christie Brinkley’s idyllic Sag Harbor home officially has a new owner. The sale closed this week for just under the final asking price of $17,990,000, though the precise amount has yet to be confirmed. The supermodel bought the five-bedroom residence in 2004 for $7,150,000 and first listed it back in 2010. As 6sqft previously reported, the 5,500-square-foot property sought its highest asking price in 2016—a cool $25,000,000 with Enzo Morabito of Douglas Elliman. The price tag was lowered incrementally until it hit $17,999,000 last summer, as Brinkley continued to search for the right buyer.

Fashion designer Ralph Lauren is in contract to buy playwright Edward Albee's former estate in Montauk, the Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday. The property had last been listed for $20 million, the first time on the market in 50 years, but the final sale price has not been confirmed. Located on 2.8 acres with 200 feet of Atlantic Ocean frontage, the four-bedroom home was first purchased in the 1960s by the "Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf" writer, who died in 2016. With this purchase, Lauren, who owns homes on either side of the property at 320 Old Montauk Highway, adds to his continuous strip of oceanfront real estate.

Playwright Edward Albee’s Montauk home is on the market for the first time in 50 years asking $20M

Sited on 2.8 acres, with 200 feet of Atlantic Ocean frontage, the estate at 320 Old Montauk Highway in Montauk was purchased in the 1960s by the renowned “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Wolf” playwright, who died in 2016. The property is now for sale asking $20 million. Albee's Tribeca loft is also on the market for $9 million. The legendary stage actress Uta Hagen reportedly convinced Albee to buy the Montauk property, which he proceeded to populate with a collection of native plants and trees. This is the first time it’s been on the market in more than 50 years.

Since her daughter is also out of the house, she told Forbes, "it's time for a change of scenery," which likely be warmer weather since she added, "Since I love tennis, I want to spend more time in a climate that is suited for it." Likely in anticipation of selling, Jill renovated the three-bedroom apartment at 401 East 60th Street less than a year ago, working with designers at Schoeller + Darling on a contemporary makeover.
