Spend 28 days a year in a ‘glamorous’ studio timeshare at the St. Regis for $165,000
A six-digit figure that starts with the number one seems like a steal when it comes to anything Manhattan real estate related, but in this case it’ll only get you 28 days a year, which factors out to roughly $5,900 per day. Curbed shares this fractional timeshare listing at the historic St. Regis hotel, an offer to stay in what’s described as a “glamorous studio” and have access to the property’s amenities.
According to the listing, the $165,000 price tag includes: “personal butler service 24-hours a day, twice-daily maid service, state-of-the-art entertainment and communication technology, and access to all hotel amenities during your stay, as well as Platinum Membership in the Starwood Preferred Guest program.” And as Curbed points out, this last point may be the big selling point, as Starwood will allow buyers to exchange their nights for flights or stays at other properties. And if 28 days in NYC isn’t ideal, you can split up the time “through the Interchange Program” at other Residence Club properties like those in Aspen or Scottsdale.
This isn’t the first time a fractional timeshare has come up at the St. Regis. 6sqft highlighted a similar opportunity in 2014, when a two-bedroom apartment also became available for a 28-day stretch. This residence was going for $389,000 and came with a guaranteed week during the height of the holiday season.
