The Staten Island home that served as Don Corleone’s residence in the 1972 classic film The Godfather is now available to rent on Airbnb. Located in the neighborhood of Todt Hill, the English Tudor-style mansion was featured in the movie’s opening wedding scene. Just in time for the 50th anniversary of the iconic mob drama, the current owners are renting out the home for the month of August, for $50/night.
Built in 1930, the 6,258-square-foot home has undergone a renovation that modernized the interiors but preserved the famous exterior.
According to the Airbnb listing, guests will have access to the entire house, which includes five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a large saltwater pool, a game room, a gym, and a pub in the basement.
The home last changed hands in 2016 for $2,400,000 after hitting the market for $2,895,000 in 2014. Prior to that sale, the charming home sold for $1,687,500 in 2012 after being in the same family for 50 years, as 6sqft previously reported.
Up to five guests will be able to stay at the home, which is ideally suited for two adults and three children, according to the Airbnb listing. Please note, “guests are responsible for their own travel to and from Staten Island.”
Booking opens at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 27 for a 30-night stay occurring from August 1 through August 31. Learn more here.
