Over the summer, rapper Travis Scott was renting this massive Greenwich Village townhouse at 80 Washington Place, where his girlfriend Kylie Jenner, who’s pregnant with the couple’s second child, would come to stay. The home was designed by the firm Clodagh, and it’s a whopping 8,700 square feet spread across six stories. There are six bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a custom glass elevator, roof deck, backyard with an outdoor kitchen, terrace hot tub, and a wine cellar and tasting lounge. Another fun fact? The home was once owned by composer John Philip Sousa, known for his famous military marches. It’s now hit the market for $26.5 million.
The home was built in 1839 and has been in the same family for over 40 years. It’s recently done double duty as an event venue called Sousa House, and it’s on the block just west of Washington Square Park.
The main garden level holds the kitchen and living room, which has a custom-built gas fireplace and a double-height wall of floor-to-ceiling glass overlooking the back garden. The south-facing outdoor space has a full outdoor Viking kitchen, teak cabana, and gorgeous landscaping.
Floating wood stairs with a glass banister lead down to the basement, where you’ll find the dining room set against original stone walls. There’s also an open butler’s kitchen, sky-lit media room, a glass-faced wine cellar with an accompanying bar and tasting lounge, maid’s quarters, a laundry room, and powder room.
A mezzanine floats above the garden level and would make a great library or home office.
The primary bedroom suite takes up the entire fourth floor. The rear bedroom has a huge custom fireplace and a private terrace. An incredible couple’s bathroom takes you through to the street-facing dressing room.
There are also two en-suite bedrooms on the third floor and another bedroom on the fifth floor.
Also on the fifth floor is a spa and gym that comes complete with a wet bar and sauna and opens to a hot tub terrace. Not pictured is the lovely roof deck, which boasts an integrated grilling station, eat-in bar, and views of One World Trade Center.
As for where Travis Scott is living permanently, he bought a $23.5 million Brentwood mansion in June of 2020. Kylie Jenner owns a home nearby in Holmby Hills, which she bought for $36.5 million last year.
