Sensual HALO Lamp Waits for a Gentle Human Touch to Turn On
HALO is an object that appeals to our most basic instincts. It has no visible controls such as a dimmer or a switch. Designed by Icelandic designer Kjartan Oskarsson, this sculptural, minimal lamp requires a gentle human touch to brighten up. Simply tug on one of the strings to light up a room.
HALO’s organic, sensual body is made from a handmade white oak ring with a leather strap and an LED light source. Pull right to gradually brighten the light and left to dim it.
Kjartan Oskarsson was born in Iceland and studied interior design at Istituto Superior Di Architettura E Design in Milan. He then continued his studies in furniture design at Rhode Island School of Design and is currently based in Reykjavik leading his own design studio.
