Applications are currently being accepted for 22 middle-income units at a new development in Brooklyn. Located at 262 9th Street in Park Slope, The Deermar is an 11-story residential building offering tenants spacious units and modern amenities, like a landscaped rooftop and fitness center. New Yorkers earning 130 percent of the area median income, or between $78,858 for a single person and $187,330 for a household of five, can apply for the apartments, priced from $2,300/month studios to $3,344/month two bedrooms.
Developed by Ranco Capital and designed by NA Design Studio, the building is comprised of 72 units, which boast high ceilings, oversized windows, and even outdoor space for a select number of apartments. Whitehall Interiors designed the interiors to utilize natural light and create a peaceful living environment.
“We approached the design of The Deermar with the vast natural beauty of nearby Prospect Park and the classical architecture and quaint ambiance of Park Slope in mind to form its design concept,” Sara Ianniciello, director of design at Whitehall Interiors, said, according to the building’s website.
Ianniciello continued: “Combining warm, modern finishes with organic and nature-like patterns and intentional subtle pops of color, The Deermar radiates serenity and luxury in the heart of one of Brooklyn’s most beloved neighborhoods.”
Amenities include a gym and yoga studio, co-working space, storage space, library, billiards room, garden lounge, and a landscaped rooftop deck.
The property is located steps away from the 4 Av-9 St subway station where residents can access the F, R, and G trains.
Qualifying New Yorkers can apply for the affordable units until September 8, 2022. Complete details on how to apply are available here. Questions regarding this offer must be referred to NYC’s Housing Connect department by dialing 311.
