Beautiful Coat Racks Made From the Burned Trunks of the Mangosteen Tree
As city dwellers, it’s important to incorporate elements of nature into our daily lives so we don’t become as stone-cold as the environment around us. The tree has been enchanting onlookers with its grandeur and beauty for centuries, and even inspired the creation of the national park system. Unfortunately, the trees only produce fruit for a number of years, and after that time, they’re burned down to make room for younger fruit-bearing plants. Now, a group of Thai artisans are reclaiming the fallen trunks and treating them through a process of sanding and staining to make these beautiful stands. Due to the fact that they’re made from different trees, each one is as unique as the tree itself and includes anywhere from 10-15 hooks.
