Tom Dixon’s New Sophisticated Copper Coffee Set Improves Every Step of the Art of Brewing
Famed British designer Tom Dixon is paying a brilliant tribute to the daily act of preparing and drinking coffee. His Brew Coffee Collection is a sophisticated beverage set with gleaming copper elements that any New Yorker will love to wake up to. But the bling isn’t the only thing here, as the designer explains, “The range includes a piece to perfect every stage of the coffee ritual, from the push of the plunger to the dunk of the biscuit.”
Launched a few weeks ago at Paris’ Maison & Objet, the lustrous set aims to redefine the modern-day ceremony of coffee making. As the designer himself puts it, “It celebrates the coming together of heat, steam, water and coffee grounds.”
The elegant design includes a French press, space-saving stackable espresso cups, a milk pan, a stovetop brewer, a caddy, a scoop and even a cookie tin for pairing the beverage with a sweet treat. All items fit nicely in a round serving tray—copper, of course.
Designed to improve every step in the art of making a fresh cup of Joe at home, the opulent set enhances one of life’s simplest pleasures through materiality, function, form, as well as reflection.
