The THIN LED: A Desk Lamp That Doesn’t Take Up the Entire Table

May 20, 2014

Most desks are messy enough without a giant, imposing lamp, which makes this sleek beacon perfect for cramped home or work offices. A collaboration between Seattle’s Peter Bristol and Brooklyn’s Juniper Design, the THIN LED Task Lamp could not be more aptly named.

Featuring the latest in energy-efficient tech, the THIN lamp produces more than 500 lumens in warm white light using 33 dimmable LEDs. It stands at 27 inches tall and can project light in a 360-degree field thanks to a handy ball joint mount.

Unlike most LED desk lamps, Bristol’s design is both utilitarian and stylish with a base made from cast iron and a body crafted from solid brass to contrast its minimalist figure. It also comes in three colors — raw brass, satin nickel and powder-coated red — to match different environments.

Want one to call your own? We’ve teamed up with Dwell to give a THIN LED away to one lucky 6sqft reader. Find out how to win it here.
