Here’s a chance to fulfill your Friends fantasy. The Friends Experience, the interactive exhibit featuring those too-good-to-be-true apartments and iconic scenes from the television series, has teamed up with travel company Booking.com to provide the “ultimate sleepover.” Fans have the chance to book two overnight stays at a set re-creation of Monica and Rachel’s apartment this month for just $19.94, a nod to the year the sitcom first premiered.
“With re-creations of the beloved television series’ set – guests will relive Ross’ infamously doomed sofa pivot, peek through Rachel and Monica’s purple door, relax on Chandler and Joey’s recliners after playing some foosball, explore newly added original props and costumes from the show and much more,” Booking.com describes the stay. “It will leave guests gasping: OH. MY. GAWD!”
Guests will receive a custom tour of The Friends Experience, as well as dinner and drinks, a late-night game of Phoebe’s Cab Escape Room, a Friends-themed scavenger hunt, and in the morning, coffee and breakfast from an operable Central Perk. Plus, a photographer will snap photos of the guests reenacting famous moments from the show.
Bookings open on May 21 at 10 a.m. and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis for two overnight stays on May 23 or May 24. Get more details here.
The Friends Experience opened in March at 130 East 23rd Street. The new experience follows the popular pop-up installation that opened in Soho in 2019 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the show’s debut. The latest installation promises to be the “most immersive” yet, with new set recreations, including the orange couch in front of the fountain and the Las Vegas Wedding Chapel where Ross and Rachel tied the knot.
The exhibition takes 60 minutes from start to finish, with tickets starting at $45.
