Looking to take your yoga practice to new heights? Hudson Yards’ Edge, the highest outdoor sky deck in the Western Hemisphere, is bringing back its “sky-high” yoga experience next week. Run by Equinox, the classes take place on the 100th-floor observation deck of 30 Hudson Yards, 1,100 feet above ground. The first weekly event will take place on Thursday, May 6th. The $50 tickets go on sale this Friday and will be released on a week-by-week basis.

The attraction shuttered last March because of the coronavirus pandemic, and, along with Hudson Yards’ climbable Vessel, Shops and Restaurants, and Equinox Hotel, reopened this past September. They first began holding the yoga classes shortly after reopening, and then had other special events like a twinkling light display for the holidays and sunrise hours for Valentine’s Day.

The sky-high morning classes, which will run from 6:30 to 7:15am on Thursday mornings, cost $50. Included in the price are admission to Edge (yogis can take in the incredible view for 15 minutes after class) and a gift bag of wellness products. Equinox members can also enjoy exclusive classes on Wednesday mornings.

Before taking the class, participants are required to sign a printed Health Declaration, have their temperature taken, and wear face coverings. Mats, provided by Equinox, will be laid out six feet apart. Starting at noon on Friday, April 30, tickets can be purchased online in advance. At that time, the available classes will be May 6, 13, 20, and 27.

For visitors looking to just enjoy the views, Edge is open at 25 percent capacity. All guests are required to wear face coverings at all times. Tickets, which cost $36 for adults, are available for purchase online for one-hour time slots to help reduce overcrowding and long lines.
