4,000 spots open on waitlist for middle-income units across Bushwick, Bed-Stuy

Applications are currently being accepted to replenish a 4,000-name waitlist for income-restricted apartments across central Brooklyn. Located at 806 St. John’s Place, 924 Myrtle Avenue, 682 Chauncey Street, 1140 Bushwich Avenue, and 18 Stanhope Street, the buildings are located in Crown Heights, Bed-Stuy, and Bushwick. New Yorkers earning 130 percent of the area median income can apply for the apartments, which include studios starting at $1,700/month and two-bedrooms from $2,000/month.
The Crown Heights rental was constructed in 2017 and sits between Nostrand and Rogers Avenues. The five-story building comes with an on-site laundry room, fitness center, parking, bike room, and shared outdoor space.
The apartments at 1140 Bushwick Avenue, 682 Chauncey Street, and 18 Stanhope Street were all built within the last few years and contain amenities like rooftop terraces, a laundry room, and new appliances. In Bed-Stuy, all apartments at 924 Myrtle Avenue have private balconies, oversized windows, and access to the rooftop and a gym.
Qualifying New Yorkers can apply for a spot on the waitlist until May 6, 2020. Find more details on how to apply here (pdf).
