Late night service changes will disrupt nearly every subway this week

The weekday service changes coming up this week are arguably worse than the weekend’s, with some stretching into next week as well. Most of the planned work will impact late-night service, but there will be some disruption during the day as well, with downtown 1 trains and Huson Yards-bound 7 trains skipping several stops from late morning through the afternoon.
From 10:15 a.m. to 3 p.m. every day this week, downtown 1 trains will skip 137, 125, 116 110, and 103 Streets in Manhattan, and from 9:45 p.m. to 5 a.m. uptown 1 trains will skip Franklin, Canal, Houston, Christopher, 18, 23, and 28 Streets.
Monday through Thursday, beginning at 10 p.m. each night, downtown 2 trains will run local from 96 Street to Times Square-42 Street in Manhattan.
There will be no late-night 3 service this week, from 9:45 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night. Take the 2, 4, or a free shuttle bus instead.
From 10 p.m. each night Monday to Thursday, downtown 4 trains will run local from 125 Street to Grand Central-42 Street in Manhattan.
There will be no 5 service between East 180 Street and Bowling Green, Monday through Thursday beginning at 8:30 p.m.
From 11:45 p.m. on Monday to 5 a.m. on Tuesday, Manhattan-bound 6 trains will skip Longwood Avenue, East 149 Street, Cypress Avenue, and Brook Avenue in the Bronx.
During the week, from 10:15 to 3 p.m. each day, Hudson Yards-bound 7 trains will skip 69, 52, 46, 40, and 33 Streets in Queens.
Beginning at 10 p.m. each night, downtown A trains will skip Spring, 23, and 50 Streets in Manhattan while uptown A trains will make those stops. In addition, Ozone Park/Far Rockaway-bound A trains will run local from Hoyt-Schermerhorn to Euclid Avenue in Brooklyn.
Late-night E service will not run between Briarwood and Jamaica Center from 11:45 p.m. to 5 a.m. this week, but free shuttle buses will be available. Downtown E trains will also skip 23 Street and Spring Street in Manhattan.
The L train is running on the same reduced schedule, with even less frequent trains after 8 p.m. each weeknight.
B service will end at 8:30 p.m. every night this week.
There will be no D service between 205 Street and Bedford Park Blvd in the Bronx from 9:45 p.m. each night, so hop on a free shuttle bus instead. From 7 p.m. every night, Manhattan-bound D and N trains will make stops at 25 Street, Prospect Avenue, 4 Avenue-9 Street, Union Street, and DeKalb Avenue in Brooklyn.
From 9:45 p.m. to 5 a.m. this week and next, Coney Island-bound F trains will skip 4 Avenue-9 Street, 15 Street-Prospect Park and Fort Hamilton Pkwy in Brooklyn.
M service will end early this week between 71 Avenue in Queens and 47-50 Streets in Manhattan, refer to this timetable to make sure you arrive at your station before the end of service.
From 7 p.m. to 10:15 p.m. N trains will be running on a slower than average schedule, approximately every 12 minutes. Coney Island-bound N trains will run via the Q from Canal Street in Manhattan to DeKalb Avenue in Brooklyn from 11:15 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night.
Monday through Thursday, from 10 p.m., uptown Q trains will stop at Prince, 8, 23, 28, and 49 Streets in Manhattan.
During late nights this week and next, R service will be suspended between Whitehall Street and Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center and all R trains will skip Union Street, 4 Avenue-9 Street, Prospect Avenue, and 25 Street.
W service will end at 8:30 each night, Monday through Thursday.
From 9:45 p.m. to 5 a.m. this week and next, Church Avenue-bound G trains will skip 4 Avenue-9 Street, 15 Street-Prospect Park and Fort Hamilton Pkwy in Brooklyn.
Per the whims of the MTA, there will probably be other problems, and the problems stated above are subject to change and worsen.
