In addition to supplying members with Kiehl’s products and trendy classes, Equinox fitness clubs will now offer co-working spaces. As reported by the Wall Street Journal, Equinox is partnering with co-working company Industrious to open furnished office spaces near their gym locations. Equinox is owned by Related, the mega-developer behind Hudson Yards, and therefore the first outpost will open later this year at 35 Hudson Yards. The luxury fitness chain is also opening at the 72-story tower its first hotel (where rooms start at a whopping $700/night) and its largest fitness center in the world, complete with a rooftop pool overlooking the Vessel.

Equinox’s president and chief development officer Jeff Weinhaus said in a statement to GlobeSt.com, “The Equinox at Hudson Yards footprint is a true haven for high performance, offering visitors, guests and members opportunities for living, eating, regenerating, working out—and now working—in New York’s most highly-anticipated neighborhood.”
Industrious currently has 76 locations across 42 U.S. cities. In New York City, they have outposts in Union Square and Prospect Heights, with locations opening soon in Hudson Square and Bryant Park. According to Industrious’ website, the forthcoming Hudson Yards location will have “a dedicated hospitality team,” networking events, “a vibrant common area,” and member access to the fitness club.
35 Hudson Yards is a 1,000-foot-tall tower designed by David Childs and Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. It boasts 143 condominium units on its upper floors, 212 Equinox Hotel guest rooms, a restaurant and large outdoor terrace, an outdoor swimming pool and sundeck as part of the Fitness Club, and a Soul Cycle (also owned by Related). The eighth and ninth floors will be taken up by Industrious at Equinox. No details have been released on rates, though Equinox and Industrious hope to bring their partnership to more cites.
