Riders of the 3, 4, 6, and L trains luck out this weekend—most other lines will get significant service changes

While there are no planned changes for the 3, 4, 6, and L trains this weekend, most other lines are not so lucky. The M isn’t running between Queens and Manhattan, the J continues to take a break between Brooklyn and Queens, and there will be a significant amount of skipped stops across the board. Check out the full damage below.
1 trains skip 168 Street in both directions. Downtown 1 trains skip 28, 23, 18, Christopher, Houston, Canal, and Franklin Streets and Uptown 1 trains skip 50, 59, and 66 Streets in Manhattan.
The Flatbush Avenue-bound 2 and 5 platform at Winthrop Street will be closed through July 2019. Downtown 2 trains skip 28, 23, 18, Christopher, Houston, Canal and Franklin Streets in Manhattan. Flatbush Avenue-bound 2 trains skip Jackson Avenue in the Bronx, and all 2 trains will board at the Wakefield-bound platform at 3 Avenue-149 Street. Uptown 2 trains skip 50, 59, and 66 Streets in Manhattan. 2 trains will run every 12 minutes over the weekend, and only every 15 minutes on Sunday morning until 10 a.m.
The Eastchester-bound 5 platform at Gun Hill Road will be closed through September. There will be no 5 service between E 180 Street and 149 Street-Grand Concourse in the Bronx, take the 2 instead.
From 3:45 a.m. on Saturday to 10 p.m. on Sunday, Hudson Yards-bound 7 trains skip 111, 103, 90, 82, 69, 52, 46, 40 and 33 Streets in Queens.
Downtown A trains run local from 125 Street to Canal Street and uptown A trains run local from 59 Street-Columbus Circle to 125 Street in Manhattan. Uptown A and C trains skip Spring Street, 23 Street and 50 Street in Manhattan. Inwood-bound A trains and 168 Street-bound C trains skip Kingston-Throop, Franklin, Clinton-Washington and Lafayette Avenues in Brooklyn. C trains run every 12 minutes.
E trains run via the F in both directions between 21 Street-Queensbridge in Queens and 2 Avenue in Manhattan, the last stop. E trains run local in both directions between 71 Avenue and the 21 St-Queensbridge F station in Queens.
D trains run local in both directions between 125 Street and 59 Street-Columbus Circle in Manhattan. D trains will run every 12 minutes.
Uptown F trains skip 14 Street and 23 Street in Manhattan. F trains run local in both directions between 21 Street-Queensbridge and 71 Avenue in Queens. Through April 1, there won’t be any F service between Church Avenue and Stillwell Avenue in Brooklyn, take a free shuttle bus instead.
There will be no M service between Metropolitan Avenue in Queens and Essex Street in Manhattan, take the J or hop on a free shuttle bus.
There will be no N service between Ditmars Blvd and Queensboro Plaza in Queens, but free shuttle buses will be available. Coney Island-bound N platforms at Fort Hamilton Pkwy, New Utrecht, 18, and 20 Avenues are closed throughout the spring. Astoria Blvd N, W station is temporarily closed. Downtown N trains skip 49 Street in Manhattan. N trains will run every 12 minutes.
Downtown Q trains make local stops at 28, 23, 8 and Prince Streets but will skip 49 Street in Manhattan. Q trains will run every ten minutes.
Downtown R trains skip 49 Street in Manhattan.
There won’t be any J service between Crescent Street in Brooklyn and Jamaica Center in Queens, take the E or hop on a free shuttle bus. From 3:45 a.m. on Saturday to 10 p.m. on Sunday, Crescent Street-bound J trains skip Hewes Street, Lorimer Street and Flushing Avenue in Brooklyn.
Through April 1, Church Avenue-bound G trains will skip Flushing Avenue in Brooklyn. There won’t be any G service between Bedford-Nostrand Avenuess in Brooklyn and Court Square in Queens, hop on a shuttle bus instead.
Per the whims of the MTA, there will probably be other problems, and the problems stated above are subject to change and worsen.
