The one-million-square-foot retail center at Hudson Yards officially opens on Friday as part of the mega development’s grand opening. The Shops & Restaurants at Hudson Yards includes a 190,000-square-foot Neiman Marcus with three restaurants and more than 100 stores and dining spots spread across the seven-story building. Ahead of the opening, Hudson Yards developers Related Companies and Oxford Properties Group released on Tuesday photos of the retail center, providing a sneak peek of this massive new shopping and dining district coming to the west side of Manhattan.

“We have curated The Shops & Restaurants with New Yorkers and the customer in mind–offering a diverse array of leading brands across categories and price-points, bringing new experiences, creating a suite of hospitality amenities never seen before in a shopping center, and embracing demand for differentiated dining and cultural experiences,” Kenneth Himmel, CEO of Related Urban, said in a statement.

The restaurants at the development were co-curated by Chef Thomas Keller and Kenneth Himmel and will feature every type of dining experience, from coffee to cocktails, and grab-and-go salads to lavish dinners.
Creating some of the most buzz around the dining collection is Chef José Andrés’ Mercado Litle Spain, a 35,000-square-foot Spanish food hall, accessible from the first level of the retail center. It will have 15 kiosks serving a variety of tapas, a cocktail bar, a Spanish wine bar, and three full-service restaurants.

Other culinary highlights include the Hudson Yards Grill, Greek seafood restaurant Estiatorio Milos, all-day cafe Queensyard, rhubarb-run Wild Ink, famed William Greenberg Desserts (selling their beloved black-and-white cookies), Dylan’s Candy Bar, Fuku, Shake Shack, Van Leeuwen, and many more.
Sephora and Uniqlo are located on level 3
In addition to the three-level Neiman Marcus anchor, other retailers opening at Shops & Restaurants are Fendi, Kate Spade, Rolex, Tory Burch, Madewell, Muji, Uniqlo, Kiehl’s, Lululemon, M.A.C. Cosmetics, Pandora, Sephora, Banana Republic, Zara, and lots more. See a full list of stores here.
Snark Park, an interactive exhibit designed by Snarkitecture, is also located at the Shops & Restaurants on the center’s second floor. The exhibition also features a retail counter with custom merchandise and a Kith Treats cereal bar.

As part of Friday’s grand opening celebration, many of the retailers are offering special deals and discounts for visitors. And during the weekend, numerous public performances are expected, including caricature art, live dancing, and spoken-word events.
