Smooth sailing for G, L, and Q trains this weekend, others not so much

Most of the planned work for this weekend looks a lot like last week’s slate: still no B train, no J or M between Brooklyn and Manhattan, no 7 between Queensboro Plaza and 34 Street-Hudson Yards, and longer than usual wait times on some lines. G, L, and Q riders can rejoice for now, you get to enjoy another weekend without planned subway service disruptions.
1 trains skip 168 Street in both directions.
2 trains will run local between 72 Street and 14 Street in Manhattan in both directions. Wakefield-bound 2 trains skip 219 Street, 225 Street, 233 Street and Nereid Avenue in the Bronx. 2 trains will be running every 12 minutes.
3 Trains will run local in both directions between 72 Street and 14 Street in Manhattan. 3 trains will replace the 4 in Brooklyn.
4 service between Bowling Green in Manhattan and New Lots Avenue in Brooklyn is replaced by 2 and 3 trains. Manhattan-bound 4 trains skip 161 Street, 167 Street, 170 Street, Mt Eden Avenue, and 176 Street. Expect longer than usual wait times because 4 trains will only be running every 16 minutes.
5 trains will only be running between Dyre Avenue and Bowling Green this weekend.
Pelham Bay Park-bound 6 trains will run express from 3 Avenue-138 Street to Parkchester in the Bronx.
The 7 train will not be running between Queensboro Plaza and 34 Street-Hudson Yards. Look to the E, F, N, R, W, and S train for alternate routes.
Downtown A trains will make stops at 163 Street and 155 Street. Inwood-bound A trains will make stops at 135 Street, 155 Street, and 163 Street. There will be no A service in Queens between Howard Beach-JFK and Mott Avenue, take a shuttle bus instead.
C trains won’t be running between 145 Street and 168 Street in Manhattan, but the A (see above) will make those local stops.
World Trade Center-bound E trains run local from 71 Avenue to Roosevelt Avenue in Queens.
There will be no B service this weekend.
The 62 Street/New Utrecht Avenue Station D, N transfer passageway is closed due to elevator repairs. Norwood-bound D trains stop at 135 Street in Manhattan.
Coney Island-bound F trains skip Avenue U, Avenue P, Avenue N, Bay Pkwy, and Avenue I. Also, Coney Island-bound F trains skip 14 Street and 23 Street in Manhattan but make stops at 67 Avenue, 63 Drive, Woodhaven Blvd, Grand Avenue, and Elmhurst Avenue in Queens, and will run via the E from Roosevelt Avenue to 5 Avenue/53 Street.
There will be no M service between Metropolitan Avenue and Essex Street, take a free shuttle bus instead.
N and W service at the Broadway station has been restored but 39 Avenue remains closed through February. Coney Island-bound N platforms at Fort Hamilton Pkwy, New Utrecht, 18 and 20 Avenue are temporarily closed.
There will be no R service between 95 Street and 36 Street in Brooklyn, take the N or a free shuttle bus. In addition, there will be no late night R service this weekend.
There won’t be any J service between Myrtle Avenue in Brooklyn and Broad Street in Manhattan. Take the F, 4, 6, or free shuttle bus. Through the summer, the 111 Street J Station will be closed.
Per the whims of the MTA, there will probably be other problems, and the problems stated above are subject to change and worsen.
