Rental tower at Essex Crossing’s new foodie mecca launches leasing from $3,750/month

Leasing has officially launched at The Essex at 125 Delancey Street, the newest rental residence at the Lower East Side‘s Essex Crossing. Delancey Street Associates (DSA), the project’s developers, announced the official launch of the building’s 98 units today along with new renderings of interiors and amenity spaces within the tallest tower at the nine-site development. The 26-story Essex, designed by Handel Architects, also launched its website, which shows even more detail on the available units, which range from studios to three-bedrooms, starting at $3,750.
Residents will enjoy dramatic open views of the Williamsburg Bridge and lower and upper Manhattan. Apartments feature engineered oak flooring and double pane windows with heights of up to 11 feet, kitchens with European stainless-steel appliances and quartz countertops and bathrooms with Grohe fixtures. Each apartment offers a Bosch washer and dryer.
An elegantly designed lobby of natural wood and stone is the first of an impressive array of amenities that includes a 26th-floor rooftop terrace with a striking architectural façade, attended lobby concierge, a social lounge with billiards, TV and seating, a library lounge, a private meeting room, children’s playroom and a fitness center supplied with Peloton bikes and top-of-the-line workout equipment. Additionally, The Essex features a sixth-floor garden terrace with hammocks, grills, dining areas and a quarter-acre urban farm with produce available to building residents.
Though the neighborhood is one of the city’s most colorful and culturally diverse destinations, residents will have even more convenience in the form of an adjacent entrance to the F/M/J/Z subway lines, a 14-screen Regal Cinemas, a new Trader Joe’s store, a Target, and the new home of the Lower East Side‘s iconic 76-year-old Essex Street Market as well as phase one of The Market Line, the 700-foot-long marketplace–NYC’s largest food hall–coming to Broome Street.
Leasing for The Essex is being handled exclusively by Douglas Elliman New Development Marketing from an onsite leasing office, which opened this week. According to DSA, more than a quarter of the residences have already pre-leased due to high demand, and move-ins began in December.
Essex Crossing’s nine sites comprises 1.9 million square feet of residential, commercial, and community space on six acres. The project is expected to be more than 90 percent open by 2021 and will include 1,079 units of housing along with 350,000 square feet of the first Class A office space on the Lower East Side.
