A penthouse in Dumbo has sold for $17,500,000, becoming the neighborhood’s priciest sale on record. The four-bedroom penthouse sits atop the new 33-story waterfront development Olympia Dumbo, which was recently crowned 6sqft’s Building of the Year. At $4,102 per square foot, the deal also marks the most expensive condominium sponsor sale concerning price per square foot in Brooklyn.

Penthouse A measures 4,266 square feet and includes four bedrooms and three and a half baths. The 33rd-floor home, still under construction, boasts a nearly 500-square-foot terrace facing the East River.

The record for Brooklyn’s priciest property sale currently belongs to the townhouse at 8 Montague Terrace in Brooklyn Heights which sold for $25.5 million in 2021. The next priciest is a $20.3 million Quay Tower penthouse on the Brooklyn Heights waterfront that sold in 2020.

Developed by Fortis Property Group and designed by Hill West Architects, Olympia Dumbo is currently the neighborhood’s tallest tower. The building contains 76 residences designed by Workstead and 38,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenities, including an outdoor tennis court that overlooks the Brooklyn Bridge, a bowling alley, and other wellness-focused spaces.

According to the Wall Street Journal, which first reported the sale, Fortis declined to identify the buyer, who was represented by Oren Alexander of Official. The penthouse first hit the market for $17,500,000 in October.

Last January, Penthouse B was listed for $19,500,000. The light-filled five-bedroom apartment sits on the 32nd floor and features a private elevator landing and stunning views.
