The M train is not running this weekend, a fact the MTA buries in the second sentence of a note about station improvements along the J line. As well, beginning the Monday, the 167th Street B and D station will be joining the slew of other “temporarily closed” stations until January 2019. Strangely, the MTA does not list any service changes for the L train, despite an extended closure of weekend service between Brooklyn and Manhattan.

South Ferry-bound 1 trains skip 137, 125, 116, 110 and 103 streets.

No 2 trains between 135 Street and E 180 Street – free shuttle buses provide alternate service.

5 trains run every 20 minutes in both directions between Bowling Green and 149 St-Grand Concourse. Bronx-bound 5 trains skip 138 St-Grand Concourse. No 5 trains between 149 St-Grand concourse and E 180 St – free shuttle buses provide alternate service.

Downtown A trains skip 155, 135, 116, 103, 96 and 81 streets. Queens-bound A trains run via the F from W 4 St to Jay St-MetroTech – no Queens-bound service at Spring, Canal, Chambers, Fulton and High streets. No A service operates between Rockaway Park/Lefferts Blvd and 181 St – free shuttle buses make A stops between 181 St and 207 St.

Euclid Av-bound C trains skip 155, 135, 116, 103, 96 and 81 streets and run via the F from W 4 St to Jay St-MetroTech – no Euclid Av-bound service at Spring, Canal, Chambers, Fulton and High streets.

Jamaica Center-bound E trains skip 75 Av and Briarwood and run express from Queens Plaza to 71 Av stopping at Roosevelt Av.

Beginning Monday, the 167 Street B, D station will close through January 2019. Norwood-bound D trains skip 155, 161, 167 and 170 streets. D trains will not run between 34 St-Herald Sq and Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr – buses operate between W 4 St and Grand St, stopping at B’way-Lafayette St. D trains skip Union St, 4 Av-9 St, Prospect Av and 25 St.

Jamaica-bound F trains skip 75 Av, Briarwood and Sutphin Blvd and run via the A from Jay St-MetroTech to Canal St and via the E to Roosevelt Av.

No M trains running.

Astoria-bound N trains skip 36 Av and 30 Av and run via the R from 36 St, Brooklyn to Canal St.

96 St-bound Q trains run via the R from DeKalb Av to Canal St stopping at Jay St-MetroTech, Court, Whitehall, Rector, Cortlandt streets and City Hall.

Forest Hills-bound R trains run express from Queens Plaza to 71 Av, stopping at Roosevelt Av. R service operates between 71 Av and 36 St and via the D to/from 9 Av, with no late night service – buses provide alternate service.

No J trains between Myrtle Av and Crescent St – free shuttle buses provide alternate service.

Per the whims of the MTA, there will probably be other problems, and the problems stated above are subject to change and worsen.
