This weekend’s subway service changes are comparatively merciful

On the heels of a slew of stations closing “temporarily,” this weekend’s subway agenda is quite reasonable. Still, though, a number of lines will be skipping multiple stops, masquerading as other trains, and running at spaced out intervals – see the full damage below.

1 trains skip 18, 23 and 28 Sts in both directions in Manhattan – 2 and 3 trains provide alternate service. No 1 trains between 14 St and South Ferry – free shuttle buses provide alternate service.

Wakefield-bound 2 trains skip Bronx Park East, Pelham Pkwy, Allerton Av and Burke Av.

No 3 trains between 96 St and 148 St. No 3 trains running overnight – free shuttle buses provide alternate service, operating between 148 St and 135 St.

Woodlawn-bound 4 trains skip 23 St and 33 St. New Lots Av-bound 4 trains skip 116, 110, 103, 96, 77, 68 and 51 Sts late nights.

5 trains run every 20 minutes between Dyre Av and Bowling Green on Saturday and Sunday.

Pelham Bay Park-bound 6 trains skip 23 St and 33 St. Brooklyn Bridge-bound 6 trains skip 116, 110, 103, 96, 77, 68 and 51 Sts.

Hudson Yards-bound 7 trains skip 111, 103, 90 and 82 Sts.

No A trains running to Far Rockaway-Mott Av.

No Rockaway Park Shuttle service at Broad Channel. The Shuttle runs approximately every 15 minutes between Rockaway Park-Beach 116 St and Beach 90 St. The Shuttle runs via the A to/from Far Rockaway-Mott Av.

Inwood-bound A trains skip Spring St, 23 St and 50 St.

168 St-bound C trains skip Spring St, 23 St and 50 St.

Jamaica Center-bound E trains skip Spring St and 23 St.

L trains from 3 Av and 1 Av Stations board at the 8 Av-bound platform and run every 20 minutes. No L trains between Broadway Junction and Rockaway Pkwy – free shuttle buses provide alternate service.

Jamaica-bound F trains skip 14 St. Manhattan-bound F platforms at Avenue U, Avenue P, Avenue N, Bay Pkwy and Avenue I are closed through Monday at 5AM. Queens-bound F and G trains skip Fort Hamilton Pkwy, 15 St-Prospect Park and 4 Av-9 St.

Middle Village-bound M trains skip Hewes St, Lorimer St and Flushing Av.

N trains run via the D in both directions between 36 St and Stillwell Av – free shuttle buses provide alternate service. No N trains between Times Sq-42 St – free shuttle buses provide alternate service.

Coney Island-bound Q trains skip Avenue U and Neck Rd.

R trains skip 5 Av/59 St, Lexington Av/59 St and Queens Plaza in both directions. R trains run in both directions between 57 St-7 Av Q and 21 St-Queensbridge F, making stops at Lexington Av/63 St and Roosevelt Island, resuming normal service at 36 St, Queens.

No J trains between Crescent St and Jamaica Center – free shuttle buses provide alternate service. Crescent St-bound J trains skip Hewes St, Lorimer St and Flushing Av.

Per the whims of the MTA, there will probably be other problems, and the problems stated above are subject to change and worsen.
