Santa Claus will be visiting the Empire State Building Observatory for the first time ever this holiday season. On two days in December, visitors can meet Santa and share their Christmas wishes on the iconic building’s 80th floor. The landmark skyscraper will be decked out with festive decor and offer musical performances.
On December 4 and 11, building tenants and visitors will have the chance to meet Santa Claus in a festive corner of the 80th floor from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The building’s Fifth Avenue lobby has been adorned with festive decorations, like ornaments, wreaths, silver and gold bows, and a large menorah in front of the lobby’s two-story building model.
On the 86th-floor observatory, guests will be able to snap a picture in a snowy corner decorated with branches and golden lights.
“We are delighted to set the stage for our guests to create unforgettable memories with festive holiday cheer at every corner of the Empire State Building Observatory,” Jean-Yves Ghazi, president of the Empire State Building Observatory, said.
“We have truly outdone ourselves this year with over-the-top decorations throughout our reimagined Observatory Experience and plenty of holiday surprises to land us on the nice list.”
After experiencing the holiday festivities, guests will be able to visit the new Starbucks Reserve location that opened in the Empire State Building’s base on November 16. The three-floor, 23,000-square-foot space is the only Reserve location with a full-service dining experience, offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
