21 chances to buy an affordable condo at Extell’s chic Upper East Side tower, from $357K

Applications are now being accepted for 21 brand new, affordable condominiums at Extell Development’s Upper East Side tower, The Kent. Designed by Beyer Blinder Belle, the 30-story building, located at 200 East 95th Street, has a facade covered in red brick with accents of dark metal. Qualifying New Yorkers earning between $79,333 and $119,250 annually can apply for the studio, one- and two-bedroom condo units, which range in price from $356,700 to $427,000.

While sales launched for the Kent’s market-rate condos last year, some units are still available. The building’s market-rate condos, which have oversized windows and custom millwork, start at nearly $3 million for a two-bedroom, $4.2 million for a three-bedroom and just over $6 million for a four-bedroom.

Amenities at the building begin in the two-story lobby, which boasts rosewood paneled walls and custom chandeliers. The space includes a drawing room with a fireplace and marble-topped bar. Residents will also enjoy a fitness center, indoor and outdoor children’s playroom, and a landscaped courtyard designed by West 8 architects.
The so-called Garden Salon features a library, fireplace, catering kitchen and billiards table. Lenny Kravitz even designed a multi-sensory retreat for the building called the Sound Lounge, a place for residents to play instruments and perform, as well as watch movies. There is also a 55-foot indoor heated swimming pool and a sauna.
Qualifying New Yorkers can apply for the affordable condos at The Kent until May 17, 2018. Fifty percent of units will be set aside for residents of Manhattan Community Board 8.
